Wizardy in the Florida School System..Come on ...
Posted On: 05/07/2008 07:01:01

Good Morning and I officially would like to declare our Independence from Florida… However…Mandy is attending college down there over the next few years…I truly hope they do not brain wash her into stupidity.  The latest and perhaps greatest thing Florida is accused of is accusing a teacher of Wizardry. Oh yeah! Substitute teacher Jim Piculas does a 30-second magic trick where a toothpick disappears then reappears. But after performing it in front of a classroom at Rushe Middle School in Land 'O Lakes, Piculas said his job did a disappearing act of its own. "I get a call the middle of the day from head of supervisor of substitute teachers. He says, 'Jim, we have a huge issue, you can't take any more assignments you need to come in right away,'" he said. When Piculas went in, he learned his little magic trick cast a spell and went much farther than he'd hoped. "I said, 'Well Pat, can you explain this to me?' 'You've been accused of wizardry,' [he said]. Wizardry?" he asked…

So let me get this straight… after this man performed this trick one of those Southern Baptist no doubt ran screaming home to their parents and said Harry Potter is alive and teaching in Rushe Middle School… Tar and feather I say Tar and Feather!!!  Ok Mr. Wizard… where do we go from here? I mean when I was in middle school I would have loved a sub doing anything but school work. Actually I recall many days when a sub took over she or he did more listening to us instead of trying to take up where her or his predecessor left off. Am I wrong or is Florida people getting too much sun for their own good… Oh…oh I have relatives down there… and some most certainly are holier then thou Southern Baptist’s. I tend to pick on the state because before they are transplanted to Florida they were model Michigan residents. Raising hell and taking names was our motto. Thank the stars my Brother and My one sister…the other…well she is brain washed… and my oldest daughter shakes her head daily and often emails me on stupid things the locals do…I mean truly stupid and it’s a wonder some of those half-breeds even know how to multiply… and I am not talking math problems here…Oh well My Aunt I love her to death but sent me an email which was sent by various other fractions of her church about the Movie: “The Golden Compass” and how bad it was that no one should view it, and it was written by an atheist and it would surely tear at the fabric of our existence… Oh on and on and this and that…they contended that movie… Shoot!!!! I could not wait to buy that damned movie and watch it… Hell I thought she did more advertising for that then Borax did for Laundry detergent back in the day…so naturally I bought that movie and have now watched it 3 times… Each time I sit awaiting the holier then thou element of the movie to wretch my inner soul out and slap me with it a time or two… But I end up laughing and enjoying it for what it was meant to be…entertainment... Perhaps that is it… perhaps the SBM wants us all to be un-entertained oh and the SBM means Southern Baptist Movement Not in any way or form a cuss word…Oh well…life in the great state of Florida…no wonder comedians have so much new material…

Ala kazaam and Bolica boo… I turn you into a Kangaroo…. My gosh people stop letting society turn Florida kids into Chicken Little’s… I pray Mandy comes back home from that schooling down there in a few years educated enough to be the best she can be…

A huge hug and many pats… (oh and Kangaroo’s are cool, get over it)

Actually I have seen the Movie you spoke of, it was an ok movie, not a favorite of mine, and my youngest was somewhat sad that I did not care for it as much as she did. She is 19 and a True and Blue Beatles fan which the movie was laced with Beatles music from head to toe... and Thank You for your comments...I may not always be the best to get my point across but I surely try to have a point... however my points do not mean to take center stage on anyone else's points...I just seem to speak up first...ha ha, I do enjoy various opinions and hope my opinions do not offend anyone...

God forbid I actually liked The Golden Compass and if that movie sent people into a tail spin then Across the universe must have just about killed them.  If you haven't seen Across the Universe it's a must see.  But seetake it all in it a couple of times to to take it all in .   Look forword to you morning blogs you make mornings worth getting up for.

I believe there is a special place reserved for those who do others injustice
exactly, I have  half brother who is a pentacostal tent revival preacher who travels with his people he is going to heal of their faked problems. He will leave a city and laughed at how stupid people are to give him all that cash! If there's a hell there is a special place for him!
