Praise God!
Life is good.
After 40 years of full time employeement beginning at the youthful age of 20, not forgeting all the years of paper routes and ushering at movies, cutting grass, loading ice trucks and other tasks to mondane to list, which were already history, I will be retiring for the second time at the end of this month. I retired from the US Air Force after 22 years of service in 1989. Now I will get another small pension from the US Postal Service and I will try to stay out of the work force and give some industrious youngsters a chance.
I Thank God for giving me a wonderful life so far. And I am ready to experience whatever he has in store for the future.
My only wish is for World Peace and Harmony.

May God be with you also.

Just got back into town..so a bit late maybe on responding to your announcement.

Congratulations, Bart! I hope you find ways to make these retirement years fulfilling and enjoyable. With the right mindset, EVERY day can be exciting. Enjoy the beauty of God's creation, extend a hand of help or friendship to another, do whatEVER you love to do or try your hand at some new experience now that you have the time. It's YOUR time now..indulge (in healthy ways) and have a great time!

Congratulations on your second retirement Bart. Also congrats on your first blog.

I retired after 40 years of full-time employment. I was going to work longer but I had to go early due to medical reasons. I love retirement but wish my health was better so I could fully enjoy it. Surprisingly enough, I have never missed working since I retired.

Have lots of fun and stay healthy.
