I find it sad that Tony deleted his group. I was getting ready to post some music videos there. Even though I didn't always comment on his videos didn't mean I didn't enjoy them. But if we all did that he, no doubt, felt discouraged. I am truly sorry to see the group go. Hopefully, he'll come up with something else even better. Love you, Tony!

The Life & Death Of A Good Idea.
Posted On 03/25/2008 05:52:18 by Jukebox_George

Idea's, we all have them and they seem to come in all shapes and sizes. Good ideas. bad ideas, fun ideas, serious ideas, the list goes on and on.  Some ideas are like mini dreams we put into motion, others are a spontaneous thought that grows wings and so we test those wings and see how well and far we can fly. I had a spontaneous idea one time and I uttered it aloud to a friend. That friend encouraged me to try my idea and so I did. That idea met with acceptance, and encouragement and soon many people were participating in the idea with me and incorporating some of the idea into there own areas and I was pleased and encouraged.

Like all new things, once the newness wore off some of the interest waned from others and my idea just settled into being there. Since the idea was a passion of mine I was content to simply just have it and add to it for my own enjoyment. A few others would tell me they liked what I had done, and they seemed to enjoy that it existed, but there wasn't alot of outside involvement with it.

Sometimes we stand so close to something we stop seeing it realistically and only see it as we have envisioned it. Nothing seems to break that cycle more then stepping back for a few minutes then coming and looking anew. I did that with my old friend the good idea today and was pretty stricken with the notion that nobody aims to weed that garden but me. As I find myself at the garden less and less anymore I decided I'd rather not see it deteriorate into thicket and weeds and die a slow death from neglect.

With a great big heavy sigh, I put that idea to rest today. Better to clear the ground and let someone else come with a new idea and work it into that soil. I am grateful for the experience, and sure did enjoy the soaring. I hope that if y'all have an idea, that you take the opportunity to give it wings and love to see it fly as much as I did mine.

Keep the music playing, it brings so much more life to all we do.
