Very hot and humid here. The air is of poor quality due to a huge fire burning out of control in eastern North Carolina. The air smells like smoke. Cooler tempertures expected tomorrow. Please send some rain to put this fire out!

Yesterday our power went out for five minutes. No big deal! Then we went to the Food Lion across the street and there were no cars hardly in the parking lot. There was a sign on the door saying CLOSED due to power outage. We couldn't understand why it was closed when the power had been off for only five minutes. We go to another Food Lion down the street and find out that the other stores power had been off all night. They lost everything cold and frozen. We realized how lucky we were with the temps 100+. I'm going to find a cool place and stay there all day long. lol!

I think I will jump in some water somewhere. It was 104 in our back yard yesterday and suppose to be alittle hotter today! Yesterday afternoon we ate crabs in the back yard. They were good, but the heat was not. Hope you have a cool Sunday...

Mom, my neighbor and I went to buy my grandbaby a big girl bike with training wheels. It's her fourth birthday. So we have to break my trunk down to get the wheelchair in my car for mom. The part we broke down we put in the backseat not thinking. lol! So we come out of the store with a bike and lots of stuff. I look at the car and burst out laughing. How in the world are we going to get a wheelchair, bike, bags and bags of stuff and us in the car with that piece in the back seat? The good news is we made it, even though I had to drive with a bike wheel in my side. The bad news is when we took the bike out one of the tires was flat! So back we go. Today I think we'll take it easy...
