10. (a) 4 (b) 2 (c) 3 (d) 5 (e) 6 (f) 1
Now add up the total number of points.
OVER 60 POINTS: Others see you as someone they should "handle with
care." You're seen as vain, self-centered, and extremely dominant.
Others may admire you, wishing they could be more like you, but don't
always trust you, hesitating to become too deeply involved with you.
51 TO 60 POINTS: Others see you as an exciting, highly volatile, rather
impulsive personality; a natural leader, who's quick to make decisions,
though not always the right ones. They see you as bold and
adventuresome, someone who will try anything once; someone who take
chances and enjoys an adventure. They enjoy being in your company
because of the excitement you radiate.
41 T O 50 POINTS: Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing,
practical, and always interesting; someone who's constantly in the
centre of attention, but sufficiently well-balanced not to let it go to
their head. They also see you as kind, considerate, and understanding,
someone who'll always cheer them up and help them out.
31 TO 40 POINTS: Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful &
practical. They see you as clever, gifted, or talented, but modest. Not
a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone who's
extremely loyal to friends you do make and who expect the same loyalty
in return. Those who really get to know you realize it takes a lot to
shake your trust in your friends, but equally that it takes you a long
time to get over it if that trust is ever broken.
21 TO 30 POINTS: Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy. They see
you as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder. It
would really surprise them if you ever did something impulsively or on
the spur of the moment, expecting you to examine everything carefully
from every angle and then, usually decide against it. They think this
reaction is caused partly by your careful nature.
UNDER 21 POINTS: People think you are shy, nervous, and indecisive,
someone who needs looking after, who always wants someone else to make
the decisions & who doesn't want to get involved with anyone or
anything! They see you as a worrier who always sees problems that don't
exist. Some people think you're boring. Only those who know you well
know that you aren't.
Now forward this to others, and put your score in the subject box

It's on the news. You can trust it to be true. Or can you? The media is becoming just another avenue of entertainment. I remember when its purpose was to keep us informed. Now its just a ratings game.
What's really sad is they think we're stupid. They think we still believe they are there to keep us up to date with current events. I believe they are there to create sensationalism, create higher ratings, create bigger revenue for their station which then leads to bigger paychecks for themselves.
The news is the same every night. We see coverage on the war. What's up with that? Why is it still going on? How is it that a country of our size and power hasn't wrapped this up already? Years ago, IMAS (in the morning)said something on his show that I will never forget. He asked the question: Why don't we just turn Iran into a parking lot? It was THEE show at the time, but, apparently I was the only one listening.
Apparently, each news story seems to focus blame somewhere else then where it should be focused. Of late, the focus is on MYSPACE.COM and again, I have to say, I like MYSPACE. There are millions of members. The SWCIC gets a great response using that network. They must be getting to prosperous. Time to attack. They have been broadcasting all the perils of MYSPACE. The children who are being assualted, sexually and physically. The focus should be on the parents of these kids and why no one is monitoring them while on the computer. Fourteen year olds are being persued by pediphiles. Have the parents LOOKED at these young girls? Their baby daughters are putting themselves out there like they're hookers. Have the parents not taught them anything about protecting themselves? Parents, stand up, be accountable, share the blame. We have sick people in this world. Its a fact, deal with it, act accordingly.
Which brings me to my next issue: THE POLICE. I support my locall police. I think they are underpaid. I'm not so sure that they are over-worked. Case in point: My car was stolen. A beautiful Jaguar S-Type. All paid for after 4 years of saving. The police recovered the car after someone called in and reported it abandoned in their company parking lot. The car was vandelized beyond belief. It was pure malice. They didn't steal the navigation system, stereo or any other parts of value. They tore the trunk lid right off the car, left in lying on the ground and stole all my personal items. The police spent 4 hours taking finger-prints. Then they filed them away. I was shocked. I was told that IF they catch a car thief, these prints will be run and IF its the same person who stole my car, they will be prosecuted. They don't catch many car thieves. I don't know why. The news media doesn't have any answers on this either.
I asked this unanswered question: What if you actually ran the prints, found out who the thieves are and, dare I say it, ARRESTED THEM? Does anyone think this might send out a message to the other car thieves out on our streets? I think it just might. The same seems to be true for home break-ins, which is rampant lately.
Who are the police arresting? I'd like to know. They love domestic disputes. There are arrests there. They arrest people who bounce checks. The best arrests they make are of drunk drivers. They have caught some child molesters, which is a good thing. But, what about the rest of us? Maybe we're not newsworthy enough? Hmmm.
How are we ever going to clean up our streets, when the police aren't helping us? I would imagine we can all watch the news and learn new ways to protect ourselves.
Maybe if the thieves were also predators on MYSPACE? As an alternative, Maybe, the police comissioner should to set up quotas for catching car thieves, rapists, burglars and muggers like they do with traffic tickets. I think it could work.
I wanted to write this Friday night, but, I was really too angry and wanted to have some cooling down time.
OK, so I watched Prime Time and 20/20 and I have to tell you, I'm insulted and appalled at the lack of professionalism of the media.
This must be the month to attack the Cruise Lines. I guess they thought they'd give the airlines a break for awhile. I don't care what they report on as long as they do a thorough job. They don't. Its sad that it has come down to a ratings game. What will get the audience to pay attention? That must be the number one question on their minds.
This weeks topic was tragedy on the high seas. Cruise ships are under attack again. The media decided to investigate crimes aboard cruise ships. One story involved a 12 year old girl who was sexually assaulted by a crew member. (This took place several years ago.) While I watched this expose, I had several questions which of course went unanswered. WHERE were the parents of this child while she walked around the ship alone? Why do people tend to lose their good sense when they change locations? Why would anyone think that a ship (or resort, hotel, beach, shopping mall etc) would be any safer than any other place in their home town? Did they never tell their daughter NOT to go off with strangers? You are on a ship with about 3,000 other people, most of whom will be strangers. This is a small city. How many of us are safe walking the streets of our own cities? The news each night tells of yet another senseless crime against some unsuspecting victim.
What I also hated was the statistics they gave us to ponder: 170 crimes have been committed onboard. There have been millions of people who have taken cruises on this cruise line. Not being a mathematician, I'd say those numbers are in our favor. I wish I could get stats like that in my neighborhood. Florida is NOT a safe place, especially for tourists. It just takes common sense. If you wouldn't do it at home, don't do it in a strange place, city or country. Just because you're on vacation, doesn't mean that you are indestructible. Is this a good time to bring up Spring Break? When I was of college age, I came down to Florida to party with the rest of the crowd. I did not do the things that I see on MTV that go on these days. Do you think it has something to do with how we were brought up? There are two ways to raise children: You can Bring-them-up or you can drag-them-up. The latter seems very common place in our society today. Why are young women, barely dressed, getting drunk in strange bars in strange cities? Common sense, thats where safety begins.
Ultimately, we are responsible for our own safety at least to a reasonable degree. Leaving young children to run around a ship, a hotel or a city unattended is not the action of a responsible parent. So, another question comes to mind: where is the responsibility of the parent(s) in this horrible incident?
This brings me to my favorite soap-box topic: Michael Jackson. Ok, the charges against him were horrible. Did he really do it? None of us really know for sure, we weren't there. HOWEVER, while the press had a field day dragging him through the mud, where were the parents in all this? Shopping perhaps? What responsible parent allows their young child to spend the night in the home of an adult, knowing the idolization and the sleeping arrangements? Granted almost ANY child would want to sleep in the bed of their celebrity hero, BUT, its the parents job to make the right decisions. So, where are the negligence charges against these parents?
Personally, I think it was all about the money. There didn't seem to be any issues until the money stopped when remission set in. Its just my opinion and I try to be objective when I watch these news shows. I also found it interesting that in the cases involving cruise lines, lawsuits were settled out of court.
Stay Safe.
