Red: [narrating] Sometimes it makes me sad, though... Andy being gone. I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged. Their feathers are just too bright. And when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up DOES rejoice. But still, the place you live in is that much more drab and empty that they're gone. I guess I just miss my friend......my favorite quote from the movie Shawshank Redemption said by Morgan Freeman. I love horror movies, adventure movies, suspense, thrillers, romance, mystery but am not into sci-fi, westerns, or foreign film. Some of my favorites....Gone With The Wind, Titanic, Harlem Nights, Wild Hogs, The Amityville Horror, Working Girl. Urban Cowboy, Dream Girls, Lethal Weapon 1,2,3,4, Rush Hour 1,2,3, Driving Miss Daisy...to name a few.

Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything...Plato If Music is a Place — then Jazz is the City, Folk is the Wilderness, Rock is the Road, Classical is a Temple...Vera Nazarian A great song should lift your heart, warm the soul and make you feel good....Colbie Caillat

Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom....thomas jefferson. I love reading, one of my favorite pass times and a passion of mine. Favorite authors, to name a few...Lisa Jackson, Mary Higgins Clark, Dean Koontz, Danielle Steel, James Patterson, John Saul, Joanne Fluke, Stuart Woods, Sandra Brown, Nora Roberts and many more. I love a good suspense, a whodunit, crime novels and some horror. There is nothing better than a mug of hot coffee and a good book. ♡

Reading, shooting pool, star gazing, attending football games during football season....go LSU Tigers! People watching, grabbing a coffee at the nearest coffee house, sitting out on my porch in a gentle rain, visiting family and friends and enjoying my two fur babies, Randy and Jade. Life is good.

Living a happy, healthy life. Trying to find the good in all people, no matter how much a pain in the caboose they might be. Being a shoulder to all that might need one. Not only being a good friend, but a trustworthy one.

I may not be someone's first choice, but I'm a great choice. I may not be rich, but I'm valuable. I don't pretend to be someone I'm not, because I'm good at being me. I may not be proud of some of the things I've done in the past, but I'm proud of who I am today. I may not be perfect, but I don't need to be. Take me as I am or watch me walk away...author unknown

I'm turned on by a gentle rain, a walk in the forest....the chirping of the birds, watching animals play together...a beautiful song a gorgeous sunrise or sunset or a good movie. Embracing the good in family and friends and trying to protect myself from the oopsies of this world.

People that always use bad sarcasm toward others and try to laugh it off. People bullying others. Mean spirited people. Brussel sprouts, tripe, cooked wild game, and the thought of riding in an airplane....all make me cringe.

Perhaps many things
inside you have been transformed; perhaps somewhere, someplace deep
inside your being, you have undergone important changes while you
were sad. The only sadnesses that are dangerous and unhealthy are the
ones that we carry around in public in order to drown them out with
the noise; like diseases that are treated superficially and
foolishly, they just withdraw and after a short interval break out
again all the more terribly; and gather inside us and are life, are
life that is unlived, rejected, lost, life that we can die of. If
only it were possible for us to see farther than our knowledge
reaches, and even a little beyond the outworks of our presentiment,
perhaps we would bear our sadnesses with greater trust than we have
in our joys. For they are the moments when something new has entered
us, something unknown; our feelings grow mute in shy embarrassment,
everything in us withdraws, a silence arises, and the new experience,
which no one knows, stands in the midst of it all and says nothing.

by to say hello friend & wish you a wonderful weekend out there on
your end!
