I love all Doris Day movies. I have so many other favorites that I can't name them all. I love the old movies. They provided real entertainment that allowed your imagination to soar without all that visual gore, nudity, and explicit love scenes. "Give me that old time movie, it's good enough for me".
Sung to the tune of "Give Me That Old Time Religion.

Music

I lost most of my functional hearing at 7. I could still hear environmental sounds but could not discriminate speech. Over the years, my residual hearing has deteriorated to the point that I was as deaf as one could be.😊 I received a cochlear implant when I was 68. Well, there are days I still prefer complete silence to listening to the rattling of dishes or hubby sneezing, etc.
Believe it or not, I do enjoy the lyrics of
old country music, hymns, and movie musicals.

books-and-me

I loved to read when I was a kid. (still do.) As a kid, I would lock myself in the bathroom to read while doing my business. Often, there would suddenly be banging on the door. I would hurriedly hide whatever I was reading and open the door. Mom told me years later that I didn't fool anyone. Ha I would have to be told to go out and play. My idea of playing was to sit under a tree and read.
I love a good mystery and have read all of Agatha Christine's books with her famous male detective and all of Earle Stanley Gardner's. (Perry Mason) Zane Grey was an old Western writer, and I read all of his books two or more times. Today, I concentrate mostly on contemporary authors and whatever catches my interest.

Once Upon a Time
There lived a young girl who had a magical metabolism and could eat anything and not gain an ounce. She grew into a young woman with a figure to behold. She could eat to her heart's desire. Her roommates' mouths watered to see her slathered on cream cheese without a worry. Their eyes would turn green with envy, and they would snotily comment, "It isn't nice to eat like that when we are on a diet." The young lady moved to her own apartment to be able to enjoy stuffing her face without offending anyone.

Time went by, and one day at the age of 37, she woke up and said, "Eeeeks, I need to go on a diet". From that day forward, the lady just had to look at a rich chocolate cake and would gain an unwanted pound or two.

The End

Just trying to be cute, but that is the general story. I love to eat and try new things.

Hello, may your weekend be special. as you wish

The future belongs to those who believe in

the beauty of their dreams. You create your

future here in the present with ever here in the

present with every decision you make. It belongs

to no one but you. your life, you decide

what to do with it. life is like a rose: each

petal  is a dream and each thorn a reality.

Always follow your dream, never wonder if they are

realistic or not. Always follow your dreams,

never wonder if they are realistic or not.

love doesn't have to be perfect, it has to

to real and true. May your Saturday be full

full of love and new adventures Big hugs, smiles,

 and peace, Maria
