My grandma Hazel always made this Queen Elizabeth Cake and Pfferneusse for Christmas. She made it look so pretty though as she criss-crossed it like a patchwork quilt on top with green/red candied cherrys and dates on blobs of cream cheese. Thought i would share for those wanting to bake something new for the holidays :) ~enjoy!
