It's actually the opposite—people are going out in the evenings; the festivities took place, but without the fireworks... Many fireworks displays were cancelled due to fire risks, even though they are usually set off by the sea or near the water...
It's cool this morning—24°C—after yesterday's tough day... phew!
Yesterday I was at my brother-in-law's birthday party! It was incredibly hot! We ended the day by watching the France vs. Spain match... a huge disappointment for the football fans—*Les Bleus* lost!
