Yes, Terry, I’m safe; thank you for worrying about me—that’s very kind... The fires are further down; some are out, but the fire is smoldering underground and flaring up again in places. The images we’re seeing are terrible—the sky is orange, and the fire is truly fierce. We need rain, but instead, it’s getting even hotter... The firefighters are exhausted; they’ve been battling this for days on end. Fortunately, the local people are doing everything they can for their comfort... Physiotherapists and osteopaths have volunteered to help them relax with massages, and they’re being accommodated for free in guesthouses, hotels, and B&Bs... Everyone is doing their best in their own way!.. I really hope it rains!.
