I own my grandfather's clock; it was bequeathed to my father and has now passed to me, as I am the eldest in the family... in our part of the world, we call this type of clock a *comtoise*...

My grandfather had a grandfather clock in his hall.  l remember it from when l was a little girl.  l still can see it in my mind now and hear it too.  He lived on a big farm and l spent some very happy days there growing up.   You have opened up a lot of memories for me this morning Bobby.
