I know several of you have mentioned seeing your first hummingbird of the year recently.
Have you ever seen anything more magnificent? Besides a giraffe, I mean. The way it flies and that tongue. WoW!
I don't have one with a beautiful redhead like this one, but I do have some of the beautiful Ruby Throated hummingbirds. Of course it is hard to get a picture of the bright red throat except when they are in the sun and my feeders are under the edge of our patio.
I would love to take a picture of a hummingbird and a Monarch butterfly together like this. I do have both later in the year in our yard at the same time.

good Morning Karen, finally got a little rain here last night and it was so needed. I ran out there lickety split to set my plants in it. (well as much as I CAN run anymore. lol) This morning the air frelt fresher and cleaner.
