Here is a letter I wrote to the Editors of my paper. Is there no party that cares about the liberties of our citizens? Many representatives from every party (Republican, Democrat, Tea Party) voted to extend the Patriot Act (legislation which makes it easier for our government to spy on it’s citizens). On February 8th, a majority of the House voted for the extension but luckily they need a two thirds vote, so it was not extended this time. However, many Democrats and Republicans are planning to try again and extend this Act for three years or make it indefinite. Even the supposedly liberal President Obama is ready to extend this legislation. What is even scarier is that there has been so little news coverage about this extension. Are we Americans so confident that their government would never infringe on our civil liberties? We need to let our Representatives know that they should garner their courage, believe in democracy, protect our constitution, AND REPEAL the Patriot Act.

This video provides the facts about psychotropic drugs and the huge profits they create for the pharmaceutical industry. These drugs are not safe and have not been on the market long enough to provide sufficient long term studies regarding their effects. These drugs do cause addiction, however most "doctors" would call this dependence because you do not have to take an increasing dose over time. They are completely fine with you being addicted to the same amount of any given drug on a daily basis. Over half of the people that commit suicide in the United States are prescribed to psychotropic drugs. (Ex: Paxil (Paroxetine), Zoloft (Sertraline), Prozac, Wellbutrin (Bupropion), Effexor, Seroquil, Ultram (Tramadol), etc.)
I have never had to deal with Psychotropic drugs but have been dealing with depresion at times. Knowing what depresion is and from where it comes from I have won the war and never have lost a battle. I don't do any pharma drugs what so ever. I just eat well and us common sence. I will tell my story some time.
Whenever I tell my doctors of information I have found on line, their reply is, "that's just the internet". Doctors do not take any information research done on line as being valid whatsoever. I have proved my doctor wrong. I have won over the odds to having my colon removed..
