Feeling Lost
Posted On 09/07/2014 06:41:43

Sitting alone in a corner of my room

Looking out the window

Watching the world go by

My mind wanders to thoughts of you

Your gentle caring ways,

The sound of your voice echoing in my memories

Staring at these four walls,

Disillusioned with the fantasy

Thoughts of your arms around me haunt my dreams

Our hearts beating together

Waiting to see you,

Looking at the phone,

How simple yet so very hard to pick up it up and dial

Missing the gentle hugs

Looking at your picture on my wall

Was alone before and will be alone again

Crying softly

Sighing deeply

Lost in my lonely world

Missing you

Beautiful words

Poetry

And it was at that age ... Poetry arrived
in search of me. I don't know, I don't know where
it came from, from winter or a river.
I don't know how or when,
no they were not voices, they were not
words, nor silence,
but from a street I was summoned,
from the branches of night,
abruptly from the others,
among violent fires
or returning alone,
there I was without a face
and it touched me.

I did not know what to say, my mouth
had no way
with names,
my eyes were blind,
and something started in my soul,
fever or forgotten wings,
and I made my own way,
deciphering
that fire,
and I wrote the first faint line,
faint, without substance, pure
nonsense,
pure wisdom
of someone who knows nothing,
and suddenly I saw
the heavens
unfastened
and open,
planets,
palpitating plantations,
shadow perforated,
riddled
with arrows, fire and flowers,
the winding night, the universe.
And I, infinitesimal being,
drunk with the great starry
void,
likeness, image of
mystery,
felt myself a pure part
of the abyss,
I wheeled with the stars,
my heart broke loose on the wind.

Pablo Neruda

I have loved this man's words since I was a young girl of 16 when my boyfriend at the time,(my heart for many more)gave me a book of his poetry, circling one poem 'Si tu me olvidas'(If you forget me)

I wrote already back then, but more so after and evermore...

writers bll...
Posted On 06/21/2014 08:59:02

I really hate this. ..

Writers block is not the right word. I want to write, my fingers itch to type away. Every time I begin is when something else pops up.

Multiple sclerosis, renal cancer, diabetes an asthma…I guess I’m just a mess.

Going to hospitals and more testing is just no fun, but I’m a fighter.

So, now I’m back from yet another trip to the hospital. .It has not been fun with getting blood for my anemia (or should I say the vampire in me got real thirsty).

I really am grateful for all my friends who do not forget me in their thoughts and prayers.

I will try to improve myself in body mind and soul. Praying helps and perhaps writing will help as well..

STAY WELL MY FRIENDS. Hope to hear from you soon.

Just a quick update on my life
Posted On 03/22/2014 10:08:43

To whoever may care…

I have been in the hospital for about a month, and was not feeling much better for a while before that.

When I went in, they said I was very anemic, dehydrated and even worried I had a GI bleed.

Anyway, they poured fluids in me through an IV to get me hydrated. I think I got about 5 units of blood. …

Now I must really be part vampire…not a drop of blood in me is mine now.

I could hardly eat or drink and to look at me, I really looked like the walking dead.

And by the way, I had a great set of docto0rs.
They plied me with a multitude of antibiotics.

They said, a few more days…turned into 29.

So, I am home and feeling a bit better.

The one great thing that came out of this was that the cat scan I took showed that renal cell carcinoma had somewhat improved due to the medication I’ve been taking

Well, that’s it for now. I thank you for all your prayers and good wishes.

I’m also happily surprised that you did not delete me

Again, I’m glad to be back.

A thought on this winter day
Posted On 01/11/2014 06:46:19

A friend of mine always writes ‘You are loved.’,

in all her communications.

Very true words indeed

Know that you are loved and cared for by someone.

Maybe you can’t see it or feel it, but it is true.

When the world screams at you,

there is someone who is there to calm you.

It’s strange, sometimes when you feel so down and

then someone, out of nowhere comes by and makes you smile

a real friend loves you no matter what.

That friend will laugh and cry with you

And sometimes just hug you even when

You did not know you needed one

Love is all around us, but sometimes

We refuse to see it

I’m not trying to be overly religious or spiritual, but it is true.

No matter your beliefs,

there is that Entity that is there watching over you,

no matter what name you use

God is God

Love can come from a co-worker, family, a friend, even a stranger

And always, always from God.

So no matter what

YOU ARE LOVED

Resolutions
Posted On 01/04/2014 08:33:00

As John Lennon said

’Another year over and a new one just begun’

So, okay… did you make any resolutions?

Did you resolve to lose weight, or join a gym,

stay fit and eat healthier?

Did you promise to pray more, to help those who are in need?

What about being more patient with others, not yell or curse,

Be more open with your feelings or just be a better person in general?

Did you break any of them already?

Be honest

I know I did.

It’s so easy to make a resolution, yet so hard to keep them.

All the good intentions, then suddenly

Boom!

Gone just as quickly.

Maybe it was something said or did to you

Maybe you just…….well you just felt you couldn’t

Just know, it’s okay

This is another year, hopefully better than the last

I wish you all good health, happiness, and prosperity.

I wish you all

Love

Losing Christmas
Posted On 12/22/2013 03:32:17

Christmas is here bringing good cheer

Or so they say

Lately the word Christmas means

Shopping frenzy

Anxiety over not having enough money for gifts

Who decorated their house the best

Families fighting over inconsequential things

Loneliness because the ones we care for are far away, fighting wars, or

Even those family members that have moved away and just do not have time

Or do not want to take the time to visit.

They don't want to say Merry Christmas,

They debate over what Santa looks like

And Christmas seems to start around Halloween!

The only love and cheer is after they get drunk and their bellies are stuffed

People do remember to go to church that day. The churches are standing room only.

But after that the pews seem empty again.

The same thing happens with Chanukah. Synagogues are packed on the day and lucky if you get ten to show for services.

People don’t bring change any more for when the Salvation Army people are outside the stores, they just push them inside to get into the big sales.

The poor sick and homeless are only thought of if it’s commercialized

People seem to have forgotten what Christmas is all about.

The real Christmas:

â€œAnd the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2 10-11

This is a time for prayer, love and thanks and generosity to those less fortunate.

Those are things we should do every day, but especially now

So to all my friends and those I may not know yet

Please have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!
