Jukebox George's Music Hall. has had its doors open for one month today, and in that time, I'd say, the response has been beyond whatever I could have or might have expected. At one month old, we are sitting at 132 members, and over 3000 visits. Thats pretty encouraging in my book. I want to thank everyone for there response and there input and I invite you all to continue to do so. I have hopes of keeping it at a level that will maintain your interest and support, and that can best be achieved by listening to your suggestions and ideas. I have to give thanks to Admin, and Foxy for allowing me to realize a notion I had and for giving me encouragement and support in launching it. Thanks also to all the group moderators for their input and spirit of cooperation, and finally last but not least, thanks to you all in Boomer's for making it so much fun to do. Please stop in anytime and please keep on rocking!

In the world I've lived in all my grown life, you all too often get those unexpected phone calls in the night that can only mean bad news. I got one such call early this morning. A Man whom I consider to be a "Brother" to me has passed away. I recently went on weekend trips to both Daytona and North Carolina, with this man, laughing and sharing stories from a friendship that spans some 34 years. He has been in failing health for awhile but this man always lived his life to the fullest. he will be sorely missed by myself and many others of his peers. Rest In Peace Bertha, Until we meet again my friend.

A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package.
"WHAT FOOD MIGHT THIS CONTAIN?"
The mouse wondered - he was devastated to discover it was a MOUSETRAP.
Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning.
"THERE IS A MOUSETRAP IN THE HOUSE! THERE IS A MOUSETRAP IN THE HOUSE!
" The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, "Mr. Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you but it is of no consequence to me. I CANNOT BE BOTHERED BY IT."
The mouse turned to the pig and told him, "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!" The pig sympathized, but said, "I am so very sorry, Mr. Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray. BE ASSURED YOU ARE IN MY PRAYERS."
The mouse turned to the cow and said, "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!" The cow said, "Wow, Mr. Mouse. I'M SORRY FOR YOU, but it's no skin off my nose."
So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer's mousetrap-- ALONE.
That very night a sound was heard throughout the house -- like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey.
The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught.
The snake bit the farmer's wife. The farmer rushed her to the hospital and she returned home with a fever..
Everyone knows you treat a fever with FRESH CHICKEN SOUP, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup's main ingredient.
But his wife's sickness continued, so friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock.
To feed them, the farmer BUTCHERED THE PIG.
The farmer's wife did not get well; she died!!!!
So many people came for her funeral, the farmer had the COW SLAUGHTERED to provide enough meat for all of them.
The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with GREAT SADNESS.
So, the next time you hear SOMEONE IS FACING A PROBLEM AND THINK IT DOESN'T CONCERN YOU,
REMEMBER -- when one of us is threatened, WE ARE ALL AT RISK.
We are all involved in this JOURNEY CALLED LIFE!!!!
We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another.
Take a BIT OF TIME to reflect on THE LESSONS you learn from the EXPERIENCE. Each day gives you..
AND REMEMBER THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN LIFE..

OUR LIVES ARE WOVEN TOGETHER FOR A REASON!!!! One of the best things to hold onto in this world is - A FRIEND!!!!
I'd like to take this opportunity to extend a hand in friendship and cooperation to any and all groups in Boomers. We can only become better by working together to promote friendships, harmony, and the diverse mixture of groups and opinions on Boomers. No matter what the focus of your group, I feel we can reach a much wider audience by promoting each other. Some groups have made small banners or icons by which link to there group by clicking on it. There are active groups exchanging these and displaying each others banners in their groups. Jukebox Georges Music Hall, has such a banner and displays banners from groups that have extended a hand in friendship to them within our group. I also personally have them on my profile page.
