The day is over as light gives way to night

another chapter done and all seems right.

How much beauty can one day bring...

a whisper of love as song birds sing.

How much love can one man give

enough to heal the hearts that live.

The smiles were many and much love was shown

a day well lived, how the child has grown.

Torn between two and left with one choice

and so it speaks that small still voice.

The sound of reason, that voice in me

a guiding light that helps me see.

An inner witness and long time friend

countless journeys that never end.

A well worn path of comfort sent

timeless moments of friendship spent.

On this true light Iv'e come to depend

that voice in me, my special friend.

with open eyes and a heart thats free.
