When my moments of pain grew intense when I feared the morning and what it could bring You spoke to me reminding me of Your presence When the darkness of the storms covered the skies when my heart wept in sorrow and emptiness You spoke to me reminding me, of Your presence When I felt alone abandoned and unloved when time was my enemy dragging out into infinity You spoke to me reminding me, of Your presence When I heard Your voice felt Your presence so near when I saw the gifts and blessings You placed before me reminding me, of Your love my heart was filled, renewed in the strength of You filled, with the peace filled with the love from You and I was made whole in You
When the time comes and we take our place before You will there be, an empty place near by, beside us, behind us because we did not speak? Will we look around and see someone, who isn't there our heart crashing down tears falling freely, because because we did not speak? To our neighbor, just across the way sharing what we know in words, in action showing to them, the Light we have, inside will we search for, and not find a co-worker that we have known for so long years have been spent, day by day working together but they are missing, because because, we did not speak did not share, what we know, what we hold inside because, we did not fully set ourselves apart giving them cause to see and to ask what do you have, that makes you different? We did not, share now they are missing from the line We look around us, searching through the multitude and a dear friend, is missing not there, anywhere, because because we did not, speak up in the moments when we could have we remained silent and they are not here Family, where is the one you loved so dear? not here stretching, bending, turning you look but they are not here, nowhere in line, nowhere in the crowd tears fall now because because you did not speak they are not here when it would have been so simple a few words, a life spent living the truth set apart from worldly ways, just enough to cause the question, why? What do you have that makes you different? but you did not speak up chose to hide the light, because you feared the reaction, the rejection you feared not doing it right, not saying it right because, even as you knew the truth, knew this day would come you chose to remain silent, not sharing now, as you stand and search you see they are not here, because because you, did not speak. "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh to the Father, but by me." John 14: 6 King James Version And Jesus came and spake unto them saying, "All power is given unto me in heaven and earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teach them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." Matthew 28: 18-20 KJV Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."
Matthew 9:35-38

There are times when the winds of the storm blow harder blow colder I stand here at a loss as I watch the clouds gather the sky grows dark as the winds blow ever stronger the rains of confusion fall hard upon my brow as I watch wondering at the sight I fear not, for You are here even as I stand confused even as I fall, bending to the pressure of what I myself cannot control but I know, how I know without doubt, without failing You have control, You know what I fear, what I see approaching on the horizon I fear not what this life may send what traps and wells we have fallen into for You are here You are my strength in the storm You are my shelter from the rain I know, how I know You will never abandon me to the storms I will run to You hide myself away in You listening to Your voice within hearing You speak calming my fears drying my tears as the winds blow, and the rains fall You are my calm I fear not as I kneel before You hide myself away in the shadow of Your cross You are my calm I will run to You When I hunger for Your hope thirst for Your peace I feel You moving within reaching out to me in times of storm, in times of calm You are here ready to provide for my need You are here, close to me within my heart Your Spirit dwells You calm my storms as I run to You trusting in You in all things believing in You my Lord that You are all that I need You are here, with me I will fear not the storms of this life for they are but a moment here and gone I will fear not worry not, over the rains worry not, as I feel the winds and the dark grows for You are always will be my Light, my shelter, my Hope my Lord I will fear not

In the quiet of the night You came born a baby, innocent and small born of a virgin birth born, King of all in the quiet You left Your kingdom left Your heavenly throne and came to live among man growing, learning being about the Father's business You came walking among the crowds speaking, teaching, explaining as they listened some heard and believed some scoffed and walked away while others hated feeling threatened, they planned and they schemed because of the fact You came out of love You reached out to those sick, alone, young and old You healed many as You walked the lessons You brought were of love all of love understanding and caring reaching out to brethren in need in love You walked knowing what was coming what had to be You came and You suffered beaten and bloodied hung on a cross to die abused, ridiculed, taunted as You finished out the reason that You came suffering, You gave Your life Your earthly body, placed carefully in a borrowed tomb but it could not would not hold You as You rose walked free having paid the price of sin man's sin freeing man from the greatest fear the worst penalty from what was deserved You paid the price with pain and blood man is free we are free blessed immeasurable simply because You came

You know Lord, the pain that flows in my wounded heart You know and I know, You understand the tears that fall, unabated down reddened cheeks the sobs held within silent the pain but You know, and You understand when I come to You, yet again pleading for strength to endure I feel You move within my heart Your strength is what I need to walk through this rain of sorrow I know, that the evil one knows our weakness knows where to strike in the hope of drawing us from You weakening the bonds of our relationship with You understanding that Lord, I seek You making You the foundation of my strength the rock on which I stand as I kneel here before You Lord lifting arms of supplication and pleading fill me, I ask, with Your strength for Your strength is more Your strength is greater than any storm light my way to Your peace lighten this burden to a level less intense I carry my cross Lord for You every where that I travel this storm that is the thorn in my side I bear as I can even as I ask, give me strength to bear it better, to endure without comment so that others will not wonder of my faith, for it is strong in You I know, that You know my storms I know, that You understand my pain the tears that fall from the wounded heart I hand it all to You Lord pass it on to You for no storm can match Your power no storm can withstand Your strength You are an awesome God Almighty and powerful I hand the storms to You Lord God asking only, for Your strength and Your wisdom for the peace that comes from You for the next storm that comes for I know it will come it is my weakness You are my strength

Last year I picked up a sheet of labels meant for water bottles. For those that have not seen them the sticker reads in part, "Don't throw me away! I'm worth $100 Fill me up with dimes and you will have raised $100 in the fight against cancer!" It also has the Relay for Life logo on the side. I didn't do anything with the labels last year but remembered them the other day and thought-- why not? With all the water bottles that I have around this house it isn't like I have to go to any trouble to find one. There is also the fact that my family are notorious about not checking pockets very well and change is always showing up in my washer and drier. So why not? I took one of the bottles that I had just finished and leaned it over to completely dry out. Once that was accomplished I stuck the label on the bottle and my quest began. I will do my very best to fill this bottle with dimes, (in part just to see if it really does add up to $100) as part of my fundraising efforts for relay.. I have been carrying this bottle around with me since then. Today, I started my cleaning efforts for Christmas. I even tackled my son's room. I wanted to gather all of the dishes that hadn't found their way back to the kitchen yet, as I gathered them, I noticed the variety of change that he left scattered all over the place. There was change on the shelf, his desk, and all across the floor. Thoughts of more dimes for my water bottle, (I noticed that even though I had given him a bottle he had yet to place anything in it) I began to gather change. In the process I found all of the dishes he had in there and got his dirty clothes to wash. I ended up finding five dimes, those went immediately into my bottle. I replace them with a couple of quarters later. I closed the door to his newly straightened room and shook the water bottle now a few more dimes heavier. I did the same when I straightened the master bedroom. My husband is bad about just dropping his clothing beside the bed and whatever change rolls out usually stays where it stops until I pick it up. I have a small container where I place everything he has dropped, including change. Going thru it I found he had already collected all but a quarter and a penny. Dropping those back into the container I finished making the bed and just as I reached to turn out the light noticed something shiny in the floor almost under the bed. Grabbing the dime I dropped it happily into the bottle. I've made a lot of headway on the house, in the process my water bottle is much heavier, though a long long way from being full. I hope that when I finish cleaning my kitchen and start on this last room, the worst in the entire house I will have collected up a few more. I sent the water bottle that I had fixed for James home with my step-daughter so her daughter could try and help raise money- I'll fix James another one. But this bottle, its mine, its my project. and, just as a warning and for information-- I'll be carrying this bottle with me everywhere I go as I seek to fill this thing up and see if it really does add up to $100- or more. So if you happen to see me out somewhere- I'm almost always at Wal-Mart-and you hear the jingle and rattle of change-cough up the dimes- its for a good cause. Because we all, in some way, shape or form, have been touched by cancer. Relay for Life, is the major "fun"draising event for the American cancer Society. An organization that is working to help more people- celebrate more birthdays by finding a cure for this terrible disease. Not only that, but these funds go toward a lot of other ways to assist people fighting cancer. It helps get them wigs, transportation, help with looks, attitudes and supplies-It helps, so that energy can be spent on the fight, and not all of the worries that come with it. Please, support the American cancer Society and Relay for Life-we have all been touched. Its time to stop it..
