REMEMBERING OZZIE ONE YEAR AGO
Ozzie the Bald Eagle was injured on March 17th, 2015 after apparently being struck by a car. He was taken to C.R.O.W.

(Center for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife) in Sanibel Island, Florida where he spent 3 months recuperating from his injuries.

On June 18th Ozzie was released near his nest on the property of Dick Pritchett Real Estate in North Fort Myers, Florida. After perching for a short time on one of his favorite poles, he flew off and was not seen again until three months later. Upon his return, witnesses saw him battling for his territory with Harriet's new suitor. Ozzie disappeared once again and was found about a week later in very bad shape. He was dehydrated, very weak with old wounds that were infected and also had two broken toes. He was brought back to C.R.O.W. where unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries on September 29th, 2015.

Ozzie and Harriet are beleived to be about 20 - 25 Years Old
