In a healthy organism the blood flows throughout the entire body, nourishing all of the organs and cells. If the flow of blood is cut off or restricted in an area, then that organ and its cells, are deprived of nourishment, and they starve. They become weak, unable to do what they are supposed to do in supporting the body, and they may die. If blood pools in one part of the body without circulating, you have an inflammatory condition, which can lead to an edema.
A healthy economic system is like a healthy body. Money flows throughout the entire society, nourishing all, and depriving none. This can happen in a Free Enterprise system, where both the buyer and seller may profit from exchanges. There is synergy in that. Both end up with more than they had before the exchange, and this is what generates true wealth.
However, in the Capitalist economic system, this is not what happens, because Corporations can leverage the Free Market to the point where it becomes a fable, like the Tooth Fairy.
The buying and selling of Stock in the Capitalist system gives Corporations tremendous powers, which simple businesses simply do not have. Simple businesses cannot compete in this environment, which is why Capitalism always tends towards Monopoly, and Cartels. The leverage of Corporations over the Free Market, allows them to profit by depriving others of the fruits of their labor
There happens to be a simple remedy for this situation, although it will require an Amendment to the Constitution. What needs to be done, is to require that Corporations split their after tax Quarterly Profits equally between their Investors, and their Employees. The Investors would get their dividends, as they do now, according to the number of shares they have in the Corporation's Stock.
The Employees of the Corporation would get their half of the Corporation's after tax Quarterly Profit, as Bonus checks (a taxable Capital Gain), according to seniority (how many years they have been with the Corporation). Thus, an employee who had been with the Corporation for 20 years, would get a check 20 times that of a new hire. Call it "Sweat Equity". This not only rewards people who stay with a Corporation for a long time, but it encourages stability
Now we have a condition in which half of Corporate after tax Quarterly Profit, is being Recycled throughout the Working Class four times a year. This is a huge economic stimulus, and it will be regular. What will workers do with this money? Most likely, they will spend it. That's good for all businesses. Next, the workers will pay off old debts, and that is very stabilizing in any economy. And finally, some people might even (GASP!), save some money
When the Working Class spends these Quarterly Bonus checks, all of the businesses they spend their money with, will see an increase in their profits. This means that in the next Quarter that there will be more profit to divide, and that will increase with each business cycle.
After a few years the Investors would actually be making more money than they were before this system was initiated, and in the meantime, the standard of living for everyone in society would go up. In order to keep up with demand, Corporations would have to hire more people, and soon we would have a full employment economy. In a decade poverty would become something you would have to learn about by reading a history book, or by talking with an elder

In Cranial/Sacral Therapy, the dural tube refers to the structure that encases the brain, spine, & nervous systems of the physical body. The flow of cerobral/spinal fluid through the dural tube is said to nourish the nervous system, and through that, all of the glands & other organs of the human body.
This exercise was developed as part of my series of Mental Yoga/Occult Exercises, but it is also a powerful technique to be used by people with back problems.
Focus your consciousness in the thalamus as you inhale, and expand the focus to include your entire brain on the exhale. Repeat this for about two minutes, and then very slowly work your way down the spine one vertibrae at a time with each breath. When you get down to the sacrum, expand & contract your consciousness throughout it with your breath for two minutes. Then work your way back up through the vertibra to the thalamus, and expand & contract your consciousness there for two more minutes.
This ought to take about one half hour, but when you have back problems, it will probably take much longer. What you will find, is that there are places where you find it most difficult to proceed to the next vertibrae. These will be your problem areas, and when you find one, just stay there breathing on that spot for a few extra minutes, before going on.
If you find that you have been on one spot for five minutes, and are still stuck there, you can make a bridge. Slide a finger under your back, and place it on the next vertibrae. Then you will be able to focus on that spot, and continue this exercise.
Remember where you needed to make a bridge. That vertibrae is severely out of alignment, and needs a chiropractor's attention. The muscles attached to it, most likely are also in a state of spasm, and should be attended to by a massage therapist. Stretching techniques should also be applied. The Dural Tube is an energy technique, but as with all means of Healing, it should be combined with various physical, and emotional healing techniques, as well as the Spiritual & Mental. Healing is Divine, and the Divine encompasses all Planes of existance, therefore to achieve Healing, we must employ all of the methods available.
While doing the Dural Tube Exercise, you might want to have some background music playing. An Indian Raga, ambient nature sounds, or some New Age music should serve well. Anything soothing

A flaw inherent in all forms of representational government, whether in a democracy or in a constitutional republic, lies in the fact that representatives can be corrupted. Now while in theory a people may be said to own their government, in practice it is otherwise, unless the general public asserts its authority and control of that government with a direct vote on all legislation.
Consider the situation in America in 2008. In order to get elected to high public office, a politician must amass huge amounts of money, (mostly for television advertising), in order to successfully run a political campaign in an election. Such money is only easily available from the rich and powerful corporations. Now while a politician can say anything they want to say to appeal to the public in order to get elected, once in office they must vote for legislation that pleases the corporations that funded them, or the nicest thing that might happen to them, is that their funding would be cut off, effectively terminating their political career.
Another problem is the language with which laws are written. Most politicians are lawyers, and they write laws in Legalese. This is much like a foreign language which most people cannot understand. In Legalese it can appear that a law says one thing, while in fact it means something else altogether. How can people evaluate the merits of a law they cannot understand, much less live in accordance with it?
In a government with a Direct Voting system politicians will write laws, but the general public will vote on them. This is, of course, a slow process involving much deliberation. Such deliberation is needed in order to ensure that the government actually does what the people want it to do, and that the general public has full control of its own government. When you do not assume your own responsibilities, you may be certain that someone else will assume them for you, and whoever that might be, you can be certain that the decisions they make, will be for their own benefit, and may not include your needs or rights at all.
With a Direct Vote the people will always have three options on legislation :
1) Yes!
2) No!
3) What?
That third option for public voting on legislation is most important.
People will select the 3rd Option, when they feel that they don't understand what the law says. When the majority of the general public select the 3rd Option, it means that the law was poorly written, or overly complicated. In either case that is always a Red Flag indicating a bad law, which must not be enacted. Therefore, in government with Direct Voting a bill cannot become a law, unless the volume of "Yes!" votes exceeds the total of "No!" or "What?" votes. Furthermore, no bill should be passed into law, without more than two thirds of the general public voting, one way or another.
In the current situation with representational government, politicians are always making special deals with each other, often adding clauses to legislation that have nothing at all to do with the law in question, but everything to do with getting it passed by including what is known as "pork", or some special boon in exchange for passage. Additionally, clauses are often added to laws at the last moment before voting, without allowing the legislators any time for review or reflection.
These conditions leave representational government wide open for corruption, and it is a situation which is intolerable, if one desires Justice or good government operating out of the will of the people.
In government with Direct Voting the process of enacting law is slow. There are good reasons for making it this way. The general public needs time to consider, before voting on proposed legislation. In local government there should be a month for the public to ponder the proposed legislation after it is written, and copies of the bill are submitted to the people for review, and discussion. For higher levels of government, that should be three months.
It is not enough that the people be the owners of their government. In order to ensure that the government is under the control of the people, the general public must vote as their civic duty. Corruption of government happens, because people have not assumed their responsibility. This is the price that we will need to pay. I figure that 60 days a year should be set aside as Voting Days, spread out evenly, about once a week.
Since electronic voting is not secure, and since many people do not own computers, and large sections of the world's population do not even have electricity, paper ballots will be needed. So a lot people need to start growing hemp...
