I live in New Braunfels, Texas, a beautiful and quaint town of 36,494 people. New Braunfels was founded in 1845 and has wonderful historic sites. Above is a photograph of the old courthouse and the "Downtown Plaza." It's a one way circle that goes around the Main Plaza with a historical fountain and gazebo in the center. The stone masonry on the courthouse is beautiful.
We have some really great attractions here and they definately bring a ton of tourists during our Summer & Winter Months

I enjoy watching movies at home cuddled up on the couch by the fire or going to the movie theater.
I've always had an interest in Astronomy. I have a telescope, but rarely use it anymore. The UFO Phenomenon is becoming quite the topic now that we have YouTube and other media outlets where people can share their experiences. Click on the YouTube link and it will take you to my YouTube profile. Click on my "Playlists" and you will see (5) folders for UFO's. You should see all of the UFO video's out there. It's incredible! Even NASA has released some secrets as well as others in the Government. There is a lot of information on Area 51 too. In November, 2007, our Government finally held a conference admitting to the facts that UFO's really do exist.
I have always been fond of the ocean. Love walking on the beach! I have a great passion for gardening and I love for my yard and gardens to look their best and full of color. My favorite foods are Chinese, Asian and Italian. I love to chat and meet interesting people. You can never have too many friends! I enjoy Art & Museums and of course the wonderful Antiques here in South Central, Texas!
I am a major animal lover. I have a 7 year old Miniature Dachshund, a 15 year old Turkish Angora cat (who passed away on Memorial Day, 2007), a 9 year old Himalayan, and an 8 year old Maine Coon.
My Dachshund "Haley" is my •HEART•! She and I are very close. She has to be with me all of the time. She has these adorable ways of talking to me by making little moaning sounds. She sounds like such a little drama queen sometimes! lol! She thinks she is a human being and therefore she must be treated like one.
She sits up most of the time on her hiney when I am eating at the table, or on the bed. When people come over, she sits on the couch with her short little leg on the armrest. lol! All my friends say, "She looks like a penguin!" lol!

My first hero is God. I thank Him everyday for getting me through some of the most difficult years in my life. After being a passenger in a head-on collision, I have endured many years of pain and recovery. I am still dealing with chronic pain to this day. If I didn't have God to give all of my pain and anguish to, I don't think I would be here today.
My second hero is my Father. He mostly let me learn things on my own without restraining me too much. He was always more laid back than my Mother was, and most of the time she didn't agree with his ways. This often caused rifts in the household, but I am happy to say they are still happily married to this day! Whenever I fell on my face, then in my Fathers eyes, I had learned something. I just got back up, dusted myself off and went on to the next obstacle in my life. I now know why I am the strong and determined woman that I am today. My Dad once told me, "You have moxy" and "if I left you on the streets of New York with only the clothes on your back, I know you would find your way back home." Thank you from the bottom of my heart Dad...
I want to say to my Mother, "thank you for always being my soft place to fall when I felt the world was closing in on me and no one understood." I •love• you both more than you'll ever know!
Thirdly, my heroes are all of the brave men & women serving our country overseas, fighting for my freedom. I know many people don't support the war in Iraq right now, but please continue to support our troops. They are just doing their job and I must say, "It's a job that many of us wouldn't dare to do." These men & women have more strength and tenacity than anyone I know.
Also, my sincerest thanks and appreciation goes out to all of the Police Officers, Detectives, Firefighters, EMT's & Paramedics for their hard work and dedication. They place their lives on the line to save our lives, to keep the peace, and to keep the streets free of sex offenders, murderers, drug dealers/addicts, drunk drivers, robbers and the like. They don't get the recognition they deserve for what they do. So, I personally want to say, Thank You!
There are no words to express my deep sadness over Mila's passing on June 18, 2007. Her life on this earth and everything she stood for and accomplished has left an impression on my heart for eternity.
Mila fought a battle that no child should ever have to fight. She maintained her dignity and grace so eloquently and continued to bring "sunshine" and happiness into every waking day. Mila brought so much love and happiness into the lives of every single person she touched. She will forever be my hero.
Her Mother, Andi, is the epitomy of a "Hero". Her inner strength and tenacity has given me more hope and courage to endure the toughest things that life could ever throw at me. She is stronger than anyone I've ever known.
May God continue to watch over our "Miss Mila Sunshine" and to guide and bless Andi as she forges ahead in writing her book and starting her foundation in Mila's name to help other families that are facing the same medical crises that her family has faced. Sher, Andi's Mother, and Mila's "Nana" is the most wonderful woman in the world. She too, has suffered such a great loss, yet, she lives on through Mila, continuing to give her unconditional love, strength and wisdom to us all. I love you both dearly, words cannot express. I am so blessed to be a part of your lives...

About Me
I am 45 years old and single. I am looking to meet people who have the same likes and interests as I do. I'm also looking for friends in my area, new people to hang out with and to expand my horizons a little bit.
I have been single since September of 2000, and haven't dated anyone in years, so I am really out of the dating scene. Eventually, if the right person comes along, I would love to be in a long-term relationship. I really miss having a loving companion in my life. Someone to share all of the good times & the bad times with. Someone to cuddle up with and share all of my deepest feelings, fears, sorrows and joys with, but first and foremost, someone who will always be my best friend. A man I can totally trust with my heart and soul. A man who is truly genuine inside and out, financially and emotionally stable, loyal, compassionate, honest, & truthful. To me, those are the key components of a successful and long lasting relationship.
I have been a Bail Bondsman for the past 13 years. In late February, 2007, I decided to retire from the Bail Bond business and I am now working from home. It was a very difficult decision for me to make, but after many years of high stress and fatigue, I think it was the best decision at that point and time in my life. Who knows, as much as I love the business, I may return to it someday. I will really miss everyone I worked with though, they were wonderful to me, like family. I had some great cases and made some wonderful friends in Law Enforcement and within the Judicial System.
I am now the General Manager of my father's business. I am really enjoying this as it has allowed me to make up for the time I've lost with my family. My Dad and I are closer than ever before.
I love to laugh and cut up, so if you have a witty and outgoing personality, we should get along just great. I am very laid back, friendly, and easy to approach. I believe that I am a very compassionate person when it comes to people. As a Bail Bond Agent, I dealt with a vast array of people, most of them convicted criminals. Hence, I can usually spot a BS'er or a con-artist right away. So, please don't try to run any games on me or cover up your flaws and your past. Just lay it all out on the table with me. Honesty is always the best policy in my book!
I am very open and modern and I am not here to pass judgement on anyone. I am not a snobby, stuck-up person. I respect people of all creeds, ethnic backgrounds, cultures and religious beliefs.
I love Web and Graphic Design. I enjoy reading, writing poetry, cooking, playing online games, and making the people in my life feel like they're # 1. It's always been a quality of mine to spoil the people who mean the most to me. I am a very clean and neat person. I can't stand messiness. I am the same way with work. Perfectionist Extraordinaire! Sometimes my friends think I have O.C.D. lol!
I have committed myself to doing all that I can to help rid our society of Online Sex Predators and to help find Missing & Exploited Children. I am currently working with several well-known groups on MySpace to keep both convicted and non-convicted sex offenders, child predators, pedophiles & porn pushers off of MySpace.com. It is just devastating to me what is happening to innocent children today. This should not be happening in the United States! We must create more laws, much stricter laws and revamp the Judicial System in order to protect America's children.
These children are our future!
I am so grateful that more light is now being shed on this topic. You rarely heard of child abductions, rape, molestation and abuse until a few years ago. It just wasn't of importance to the media or people just didn't talk about it. I still get upset that some news shows would rather stalk celebrities and constantly talk about their lives instead of what's really going on in the world. I truly believe that is why the public has been so lax about the safety of the internet and their children's use of computers. Thank God for people like Nancy Grace and other's who have made it their life's goal to air every story they can on these children as well as people who suddenly go missing. This is a serious problem, and our Government really needs to sit up and take notice. There are too many pedophiles lurking around the internet. We must enact new laws that will protect innocent victims and they must be international as well.
