Since December 2010, my husband, Amjo aka Angelo permanently lost his eyesight! The loss of his vision was cause by an injury while helping a child on the street at night.
However, my husband is absolutely not bitter about this & even said at the radio station that if he had to do it again, he would again without any hesitation go out in the middle of the night to help any child in distress!
Even blind, my husband refused to be pampered & he's still the one taking care of myself while pregnant of our twins & still do home schooling to our girls at home as before except that he's now using the tools available for blind people.
I know it must not be easy at all for my husband to be blind. However, in the morning, this smile is the first I see when I wake up in the morning & at night, the last I see before I close my eyes to sleep in his arms.
All this to say, my husband Angelo is a gift to everyone in our home & I thank God for him.
My husband is my life, my world, my everything, I need him as I need the air that I breath & I'm in love with him forever with every beat of my heart.

This little girls name is Alishia, one of the girls Angelo legally adopted a year later. She ran away from her home after being sexually abused since she was 7 years old. When Angelo got her off the streets....she was only 13 years old! We now have five legal adopted daughters. All girls Angelo got off the streets.
Another illustration but this time he arrived on the streets too late. That night, a young 11 years old girl was gang rape in a very dangerous area of the city. They left her on the streets then a 35 years old prostitute who knew Angelo calls him through a pay phone to ask for his help not trusting law enforcement since she was herself prostitute. While she was talking to my husband on the phone in the middle of the night, my husband is telling one of his assistant to call 911 while still talking on his cell phone, he rush to the car & head on to the location! Angelo arrived at the scene before paramedic & cops. However, it was too late. The 35 years old prostitute explained to my husband that while she was talking with him on the phone, the little girl, took a piece of glass that was on the streets & slashed her femoral artery in her thigh. My husband took off his shirt to tied it around her thigh but it was too late. She passed away in my husband's arms a few second later as help was arriving on the scene. A female cop, very close to my husband was on call that night & she told me later on when she drove Angelo back home, that it was heartbreaking to see my husband with no shirt on, holding in his arms, the lifeless body of this 11 year sold girl who bled to death! No one apparently tried to take the body from my husband arms who walk towards the ambulance & himself, but her inside! And according this female cop, Angelo told the ambulance attendant:"Please take good care of her body..."
In 12 years of going out at night on the streets to rescue children who ran away & end up being use by pimps on the streets for prostitution, on five different occasion, when he arrived on the scene, it was to have a young child die in his arms.
Now my husband is permanently blind & even blind, he's now focusing totally on us his family & of course friend! One thing I know for sure in my heart is that my husband Angel....is an angel! I know he is because only an angel would for 12 years, night after night, risk his own life to rescue a child that no one gave a damn about!
So please, if you decide to be my husband's friend on his site on boomer, don't you dare hurt him. Through the years, his heart got broken so many time so please treat him for the kind,unselfish angel that he really his & try to be a real friend to him! Thank you!
