I will eventually be posting a series of stories here concerning the friends & connections made during a life lived both within and outside the realm of 'Normality'. It will be something like M*A*S*H meets Cheech & Chong on the set of a Female-Generated Porn Flick. The names will be changed to protect the innocent unless special praise or reproach is required. For the fact-checkers of this world,I will be playing loose with some truth's around the fringes,though the fundamentals are are as accurate as memory suffices. As to why I share my life's story,it came on the heels of waking from a Diabetic Coma in 2002 with the realization that the fates are cruel masters if we cede them our ability to chose the paths we tread during our jouney through Life. In short,I got fat & lazy and allowed everything to come apart at the seams until my friends stepped-up and put me back together. I'm old before my time,and that's largely due to ignoring good advice until it was too late to do me any good. However,this will not be a cautionary tale in the classic sense,presented as it will be for purposes of entertainment couched in terms as Profound & Profane as the Saints & Sinners that influenced my steps. // Rake: Short for Rakehell,a term once used to describe a man so immoral one would have to Rake the very depth's of Hell to find his like. My Maternal Grandmother would bestow that moniker upon me after I refused to disown the Children I Fathered out-of-Wedlock. 'The Rake's Progress' itself comes from the title of a song by the Band Marillion. In it I felt much of the emotions inherent in my own experiences and co-opted it without a second thought. // If anything you read here causes anger,please do remember that is not,and never will be my purpose.
