I like sappy romantic movies. Hubby even endures them with me. I also watch different series on T.V.

Summer was a time to be outside playing with your friends
They don't make sodas like they used to any more
Every summer we had church picnics. There were races for the kids (with prizes) and lots of food that everybody supplied. There was always lots of laughter and the joy of just being together
I loved camping. In my memory bank I can still smell all the bon fires at night, and the smell of people cooking breakfast in the mornings

My favorite music is the old hymns; but I also enjoy Gospel Groups with their new songs. I like the old songs of the 60's and 70's where you could understand what they were saying.
I love to listen to the birds singing in my backyard. It makes my heart incredibly happy

I'm not an avid reader like some of you; but I do love to read my Bible. It gives me direction for my life. I also enjoy light romance stories and anything to do with the British Royal family

I play the organ and also like to paint and crochet. As I've already said; I love the summer flowers. I can't get down on my knees and garden anymore, but thankfully hubby still can. There is always something to be thankful for.

I can't just put pretty summer pictures on this page without including a couple that state where my main focus in life is.
I am a very proud Canadian. God has blessed me so much. One of those blessings is my husband of 49 years. I always dreamed of being a wife and mother; but the love he shows me is more than I ever dreamed possible. God has also blessed us with two grown sons, two daughters-in-law and four precious grandchildren who truly light up my life.
 On June 11 I celebrated 28 years as a breast cancer survivor. I am grateful for every day

I enjoy Summer, especially the flowers in our backyard. I love watching how busy the birds are feeding their babies. I absolutely LOVE the wind. I love sitting on our deck and just enjoying everything. The older I get the more I realize that it doesn't take much to make me happy and content. I love to laugh and think I'm a pretty real person - what you see is what you get.

A big turn off for me is when people use God's name in the wrong way - that hurts my heart; also some of the nasty words people have in their vocabularies these days. I don't like gossip and really don't like humidity.

COLOURS OF SUMMER
The colours of summer go anywhere from pastels to rich and vibrant tones. It's beautiful! Every time I see hollyhocks I think of my Dad - he always used to grow them
