As with the TV, I hardly ever get to watch movies. Times being what they are, we don't go to the theater to see first-run movies anymore, and rentals are just a drag to remember to return. My all-time favorite director, however, is Tim Burton ... just about anything he's done is cool with me!

LOUD. My taste runs mostly to rock; oldies (60s/70s), metal, alternative, even a FEW 'hair bands.' I abhor
COUNTRY - unless its playing at a horse show. Rap is
also among the most HATED of genres - remember you
can't spell CRAP without RAP! Symphony is something
recently rediscovered and enjoyed ... but only in
SMALL doses!

Any book, whether it is fantasy, educational, fiction, or biographical, if it catches my fancy, is a TREASURE. Books are like good friends and should be treated like GOLD. Books received as loans should be read and returned as soon as possible!!

I'm broken. According to my husband, I should have been 'fixed' by now, but I've discovered that people with ADD, even with medication and therapy, can only be 'fixed' to a certain extent. Take the following quote to heart when dealing with me:
"Damaged people are dangerous. They know they can survive."
- Josephine Hart
I would like to meet people who can tolerate and try to understand a person with ADD who is socially inept and has issues with impulse control. Also, identifying with any of the ideas expressed in the following quotes would be cool too:
"We like to think we live in the daylight, but half the world is always dark; and fantasy, like poetry, speaks the language of the night."
- Ursula K. LeGuin
"Don't express your ideas too clearly. Most people think little of what they understand, and venerate what they do not."
- Baltasar Gracian
"It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye."
- Antoine de Saint-Exupery
"We should therefore claim, in the name of tolerance, the right not to tolerate the intolerant."
- Karl Popper
