The Wolves Within (The Battle Between Two Wolves Inside People)

I was reading my Grimm Fairy Tales the other day, and it opened with a great little story.
It’s a story about the battle between two wolves inside people.
I had heard it before, but it’s been a long time, and it’s a useful insight that you can apply to your habits, your thoughts, or anything really that you want to change.
It goes like this …
A grandfather sat his grandson down to tell him a story.
“Grandson, there is a battle going on inside me. It is a battle between two wolves.”
“These two wolves are battling for control of my very soul. One wolf is evil and filled with darkness and despair. The other is good and pure and filled with hope.”
“It is a battle that has gone on a good span of my life,” he continued.
Then the grandfather looked down at the boy and said:
“That same battle is going on inside you. And, as the battle between those two wolves rages inside me, do does it rage inside you.”
The boy looks up at his grandfather and asks:
“But grandfather, if this is true, which wolf will win?”

Hello my dear friends! How are you? I hope you are well and in good health too. After almost 2 months with an allergic respiratory problem, due to a lot of dust from the renovation of my apt, which is still upside down, I'm in good health, but I'm upset with these workers who keep delaying finishing the work and I'm also without my notebook that is under repair. Thinking how grateful I am for: the 4 seasons I enjoy, the birds & small critters that I feed, the nearby marsh & lake I love to gaze at, the bounty of the patio herb gardens I grow & God's hand in it all. 🐰

Tuesday is a good morning to watch for hummingbirds as the sun comes up with a cup of coffee.
Oh look, here comes one now. I am glad he found a flower and not my coffee.
Monday evening around 6 pm we got 1.4" of rain in 40 minutes; Sunday evening we got 1.8" in just over an hour; and Saturday we had two showers for a total of 1.9".
Yes, our yard is squishy! I think we are nearing 30" of rain for the year already.
Time to put a smile on my face and if it rains again I will run outside and splash in the puddles as long as they aren't tooooo deep or muddy.
