Remembering Annette Hanshaw on Her Birthday!!!
Join Me For Coffee and Birthday Cake!
Sweetheart Annette Hanshaw was born 120 years ago October 18th 1901 in Manhattan. For us, she’s the gold standard for songbirds of the late 1920s and early ’30s; we think she’s keen. She retired after only a few years—the spotlight didn’t suit her—but what a legacy she left.
Every day, in the real world around us , real ~ life angels are doing the things they do...and bringing more smiles to the world around them...Real ~ life angels build bridges instead of walls.
They don't play hide ~ and ~ seek with the truth , they do whatever they can to help you. Real ~ life angels understand the difficulties and always give the benefit of the doubt...They don't hold other up to the standards they can't live by themselves.
Real ~ life angels are what "inner beauty" is all about...Real ~ life angels don't hold things against you; the only things they hold is you. They take their hand in yours when you could use a little reassurance. They walk beside you when you could do with a little guidance and direction in your life. And they support you in your attempts to do what is right...Real ~ ~ life angels multiply your smiles and add to your integrity. They make you feel like, "Hey, I really am somebody who matters."
Then they quietly prove to you how beautiful and true that feeling really is. If you come across an angel like this, you are one of the luckiest people of all. If someone in your life is wonderfully like a angel to you, it's important to let them know. It's the nicest compliment you could ever give. In all the days of your life and in all the years you live. Sending Angels Blessings to all. “One of God's arrangements is that after winter there should come beautiful spring days. It happens every year and it happens in every life.” - Father Joseph (Submitted by Lotus Song)....and especially selected by Carol Anne Paradis as a message that inspires us to be all that we can be!
Good Friends Are The Rare Jewels Of Life--Difficult To Find & Impossible To Replace...
“There is little you can do to stop a tornado, a hurricane, or a cancer diagnosis from changing your life in an instant.” – Ted Lieu ~ “When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:13-14 NIV
"In the center of a hurricane there is absolute peace and quiet. There is no safer place than in the center of the will of God"Corrie Ten Boom
Don’t let the grass grow on the path of friendship.
Native American Proverb (Blackfoot)
Brief Analysis
Friendship is a delicate flower that requires constant care and attention. It is a bond that can bring warmth, joy, and comfort to our lives, but it can also wither away if we neglect it.
Picture a path running through a field, with grass growing tall on either side. Now imagine that this path represents your friendship. The grass will eventually overtake the path if you don’t walk along it often enough.
The same applies to friendships – if we neglect them for too long, they can become overgrown with distance and indifference.
So, let’s not allow the grass to grow on the path of friendship. Let’s tend to it with care and attention, and watch it grow and blossom.
