Our all time record low of 12° will be broken this day as we have already dropped to 11°F. Our daughter, Wendy had snow all day yesterday in Bowie, Texas but we are almost 2 hours SE from her and all we got was rain that iced over and then freezing sleet on top of that. The white winterland outside is frozen solid. But we are blessed with electricity and staying warm.
Our oldest dog is failing but trying to hang on. It is breaking my heart. She has had a wonderful and happy life with us for about 13 years. She can't see much at all and is very hard of hearing but she is happy.
When she is awake and wandering, we try to keep an eye on her so she doesn't go out the doggie door and stay for too long. We started this morning at 13 and have warmed to 18. We have solid ice, with a layer of frozen sleet, and snow flurries flying through the air like Fairy lights, Lightning bugs, or floaters in your eyes. hehehe
