Anyone else out there who is over 55 and looking for a new job? I've just had the craziest things happen to me in the last couple of years. First, I got laid off one job because of "reorganization" of my job, i.e., the new requirement of the job was not possible for me to do. Then, after 4 months of unemployment (never been unemployed in 36 years!), I found a job which was okay, but $20,000 less that I'd been making before. After 4 months there, my knee went out necessitating a total knee replacement. Couldn't have that done right away because of another physical problem. After being on disability for 6 months, disability ran out and job was terminated. Luckily, my dear hubby has a good job. After I get my knee done, I want to work again. What are my chances?
