Tuesday morning and the last day of September is here already. The sun is up and when you are standing outside, it feels like it is scalding hot. The sun in the Fall seems hotter than in the middle of Summer.
Our friends in Lubbock have a Koi Pond that is about 10' deep. Their temperatures are much cooler than we are in the Dallas area. They even set outside in the evening this past weekend with a small fire pit burning.
They have a Lily Pond attached to their Koi Pond and I love it when they share pictures of all their dragonflies. I love coloring to relax and this reminded me of them.
Sometimes it is hard to tell which pictures are of the sun coming up and which are of the sun going down. This picture is to the East so it is a beautiful Fall SunRise!
While this picture I took was to the West and the Sun was setting. However, it was just as beautiful and the colors were about the same.
Now this picture that I took looks like a winter sky. It is just clouds and not like our stormy rain clouds we are in need of right now. Now don't be surprised but I think I will take some new pictures today. They won't be beautiful colors of Fall but even the green grasses of our late summers are beautiful.
Start your Monday out with beautiful colors and sharing your smile!
It is Fall and the colors of the trees will soon be changing. Let your heart bloom in beautiful colors too.
Take time to look around you and see all of God's creatures. They are all so different and unique.
It might be a beautiful time to drive around and see where God leads you.
But don't forget how important your friends are. I am so thankful that you are in my life.
Fall is a special time of year. Everything around us changes like Colors, Animals, Friends, Trees, Temperatures, etc. But Jesus is there for us always! Blessings & Hugs to you and your family & friends. Make the most of this week as we say goodbye to September.
It was widely believed that she was only 16 years old when she began her recording and radio programs and
Annette Hanshaw (Manhattan, October 18, 1901 – Manhattan, March 13, 1985) was born Catherine Annette Hanshaw. A number of her family members were in vaudeville and she was brought up to love the entertainment business although she studied art and design and wanted to be an artist and portrait painter. She was an exceptionally beautiful girl and had a lovely singing voice that came across wonderfully clearly over the radio and on records at the local stations she would sing for. A demo record she made was heard by Pathe Records executive Herman “Wally” Rose and after taking one look at her with her fantastic dimpled cheeks and stunning figure he was smitten, realizing that he had a nationally marketable potential superstar. Quickly, she began a recording career and radio performances and touring shows that brought her almost overnight to the top of her profession. At one point she was more popular than other better known singers of the mid 1920s including Ruth Etting.
She tried consciously to limit her personal appearances in vaudeville and shows because of her tremendous
stage fright. She lived in constant fear that her voice would give out or she would sing a bad note and disgrace herself but she was earning so much money she couldn’t afford to stop doing it. She was urged to sing in different voices and under at least fifteen different names depending on the kind of song she was singing or the record label she was singing for. She had huge numbers of singing aliases therefore and had hit songs under a wide variety of names on many different labels. Sometimes she imitated Helen Kane (inspiration for the Betty Boop cartoon character) and sang in a baby voice. Sometimes she sang sentimental ballads. Often she became known for jazz age up-tempo tunes which she sang with a calm voice, occasional jazzy interpolations and a good sense of how to fit in well with a complex orchestral arrangement.
In addition, Annette’s performances were enhanced by her great beauty which was used to sell sheet music by putting her face and form fully on the cover. Pictures of her graced sheet music shops like the one owned by her aunt and uncle and sold her records — it was used to sell sheet music by putting her face and form fully on the cover. Pictures of her graced sheet music shops like the one owned by her aunt and uncle and sold her records — it is said that within five years of her coming on the scene with her first recordings for Pathe, she had sold 30 million records and started appearing regularly as a guest on radio programs from 1929. She also starred on a radio show which featured Annette Hanshaw: The Personality Girl on the Maxwell House Show Boat from 1932 to 1934.

Here it is, Thursday already! That means it is almost the weekend. I need some coffee, would you like a cup?
How do you drink it so hot? On the other hand, how do you drink it iced or even cold? This baby bear likes it just right!
The other day, I took this picture of a Monarch butterfly on my Passion Vine. I got a video too, but boy do they move all around a lot.
Isn't this a cute idea? If you have young grandchildren, this would be a fun project to do with them and then video them.
I love Monarch butterflies and beautiful flowers too, but you already know that. It has just been too hot here for flowers or roses to bloom.
So as the sun begins to set, let's hope the temperatures remain cool not just tonight but tomorrow too. Have a wonderful Weekend Eve! Blessings & Hugs! Pam
There are only 7 days left in the month of September counting this last Wednesday!
The hot weather will soon be a thing of the past, for the most part. So time to make one last splash!
Do you use sunglasses all year long or just in the summer? I very rarely put sunglasses on but Rbt has to wear the dark ones because of his glaucoma.
Do you spoil your pet? One of our 3 is very food driven and demands something from ME from the dinner table. Yes she got french fries but no ketchup, because we rarely eat ketchup.
Now that is not true at our home. We are grateful for everyone they scare away, especially the squirrels. That is why they get food off MY plate with just one cute begging look at me.
True love and devotion and friendship is all we ask of our girls. Share your love today! Blessings & Hugs! Pam
Good Tuesday Taco Morning to You! I took this picture yesterday morning on the first day of Fall. The colors had already started to fade by the time I got out there.
I turned around and could see a rain cloud but under it were pretty clouds and even some blue skies.
So, I took a panoramic picture. I don't think the quality is as good but it sure does show the difference.
As I turned to look toward the front of the house, I saw this rainbow that looked like it was blessing our home! God's promise to us!
So I thought I would take one more picture of the colors of an Autumn sky. The Martens and Sparrows were still asleep in their house.
But then, I saw one more view of the sun coming through the dense trees. Hey, I did good with only 6 or 7 pictures instead of 15-20. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed seeing what I see each morning. God's handiwork is so different each day even if my hubby thinks they all look the same.
It is Saturday and the weekend is in full force! Woo Hoo!
The sun is up and the winds are light. The Hot Air Balloons should be able to take off today.
The Plano Balloon Fest is in full force and you can come on over and enjoy it. They are only expecting 100,000 people this weekend.
Early mornings are for watching them take off and evenings are for watching them glow. It is magical at night, but bring your mosquito repellent!
We went about 17 years ago and we thought it was crowded back then. Remember you are always welcome to come sit on our patio in a rocking chair. My hot air balloons glow at night too.
I hope to see you soon. Have a great weekend whatever you do!
Today is the day the Lord has made just for us to celebrate life and to give thanks!
I give thanks that back in 2008, Cricket was the first person to be my friend on NOTH. She has been in Heaven having a Woo Hoo Party with Jesus for many years now. But if it wasn't for her, you and I might not be friends now.
Oh how Cricket loved dolphins and I never see one that I don't think of her. Of course I love coloring them for her too!
They always seem to have a smile on their face and love to jump for JOY!
Sunrise or Sunset, dolphins seem to play and have fun all the day long.
LOVE ALWAYS AND FOREVER, ANNETTE HANSHAW "THAT'S ALL!"

Annette Hanshaw was an American Jazz Age singer. She was one of the
most popular radio stars of the late 1920s and early 1930s, with many of
her most notable performances taking place on NBC's Maxwell House Show
Boat. Over four million of her records had been sold by 1934, following
the peak of her popularity.
In her ten-year recording career, she recorded about 250 sides. In a
1934 poll conducted by Radio Stars magazine, she received the title of
best female popular singer. Second place went to Ethel Shutta, third
place went to Ruth Etting, and fourth place went to Kate Smith.
Today the second half of September starts! It is Taco Tuesday too!
I am still so blessed to see hummingbirds at our feeders daily. They always amaze me when I see them.
I don't always see the bright colors that lots of hummingbirds have, but when I do see the Ruby throat of a male, I say a big Thank You!
Lots of times, I hear them before I see them, especially if I am reading a book. But when there are several around chasing each other, I tell them to share that I will always put out more feed for them.
I can't ever see or hear a hummingbird that doesn't put a smile on my face and make me feel Happy! They are...
Saturday Blessings! I thought I would finish out the second half of Tom Arma's "A Wingey Thingies" and I would love to hear which one is your favorite! Enjoy the weekend!
