So, who was it that said that "Youth is wasted on the young?" How true. On June 22nd I reached my 60th year. I don't know how I got here so quickly and it was a bumpy ride both good and bad. One that I would take all over again if need be. So much was learned on this journey that to not have had to endure the bumps, I would not be who I am today. Regrets, oh yeah, many. Losing my firstborn, my parents, friends. The hardships, hard knocks and hard-headed people, LOL.
But each of us whether we realize it have become a part of history to someone. No, maybe we were not rich and famous but we will be remembered by somone that we touched in a positive way. I hope that I will be remembered as the woman who embraced life and lived it with gusto; who tried to keep the peace and who inspired many to be the best that they can be.
The 60th milepost is not a bad place to be, especially when your spirit and zeal are still 30-something!

Too many times, too many ways people miss out on the love an friendship of a wonderful person because they can't or won't let themselves move beyond the exterior to the interior. Such a sad loss for both! I know, I have been the recipient of that unfair hatred many, many times.
For this I try to love each person based on their values and virtues and not their physicalities. After all, I have common sense to know that they are only wearing the outer flesh that God gave them.
Peace
