Weeds Grow Around An old barn Centuries in age Twisted with disgust and beauty
Rats Bats Dwell In the midst Of this decayed place Somehow the yellow rose survives
In The Darkness Hope can fight Against the jungle Like a rose among rats and bats

This past Tuesday primaries were held in Arkansas. I voted in the Republican Primary and cast my vote for Ron Paul once again. The next day a friend of mine, who worked the polls, told me that Barak Obama had an opponent. When I looked up the election results, it showed John Wolfe obtained 41% of the votes.
In West Virginia, inmate Keith Judd obtained 40% against the President, and in Kentucky Democratic voters marked Uncommitted. If Mickey Mouse’s name had been on the ballot against Obama, I am sure he would even garnered 40% of the votes. Just imagine if a serious Democratic contender had chosen to run, they may have won the nomination.
In the past there have been a few sitting Presidents who failed to get their party’s nomination. They were Franklin Pierce, Andrew Johnson, and Chester Arthur. In 1976 Ronald Reagan made a strong showing against Gerald Ford. Afterwards Ford lost in the General Election to Jimmy Carter. This should be a wake up signal for Obama and his supporters.
If unknown candidates are doing this well against a sitting President, chances for re-election are very unlikely. I am not making any predictions for November, but I think it possible that Obama could go down in defeat.

Every four years, many politicians come forward wishing to become President of The United States. Most of these candidates have one thing in common, the desire to obtain power. Only those who announce their intentions to run are considered, and they always come from one of the major parties. When someone announces their desire to become President, it would probably be best to avoid that person like the plague. George Washing had no desire to become President; his dream was to be a farmer. However he agreed to run because he was asked by our Founding Fathers. The nation was failing apart under the Articles of Confederation, they didn’t trust themselves, and they sought out a leader. After Washington retired, a leader was not really sought out. Party politics emerged and politicians once again fought for power. The hostility boiled to the point that Aaron Burr killed Alexander Hamilton in a duel. This all could have been avoided if both sides had sought a leader who had no thirst for power. The pattern they set was tossed aside. Since that time, Gerald Ford is the only other person to become President without officially seeking it. He was not the first Vice-President to fill an unexpired term, but he was the first Vice President to be appointed to that office. When seeking a term in his own right, he was defeated. What this nation really needs is to find a leader who does not want to be President. Instead of a leader finding followers to join their cause, followers should search out a leader and ask that person to step forward and lead.

Bound in chains Some seek to be free Tyrants stand Masses bow Promised dreams never fulfilled The chains unbroken
This shadorma was inspired by John McNaughton’s painting. “Wake Up America.†It seems that for so many, freedom is not important. They fall for hype and personality, not realizing they are bound in chains.

John McNaughton is a very talented artist. He proves that a conservative can be creative. One of my favorite paintings is the rooster crowing as Obama speaks. It is titled “Wake up America.†Below is a link to the picture.

As some of you know I enjoy writing in the poetic forms known as Fibonacci and shadorma. This painting inspired me to write this Fibonacci.
When the Rooster Crows When The Rooster Crows three times Many have deaf ears Deceived by a silver tongued fox

George Lindsey who played “Goober Pyle,†on “The Andy Griffith Show†and “Hee Haw†has passed away. He will be missed.
Green Donkey Flew in a saucer Landing in A meadow Soon newsmen covered the hills He posed with a smile
(It has been a while since I wrote a shadorma, so I decided to write one day.)

Mitt Romney will get the Republican nomination. The Arkansas primaries will be held on May 22nd , and I will cast my vote for Ron Paul. I know he will not get the nomination, but I will always vote for the candidate who stands by the Constitution. In the General Election, I will vote for Romney because Obama needs to be voted out. Romney faces a tough battle. Voters in the Southern states are not enthused about his candidacy. Obama will have no problem winning in the Northeast and in California. As we have seen in the past several elections, the Republican Vice Presidential candidate will be shred to pieces.
In my opinion, Romney should choose either Herman Cain or Rick Santorum. Both these men are popular in the Southern states, and we already know their faults. Any attacks, made by the mainstream media, on their character will be old news. A new face is an easy target, and the slanders will still be fresh in the minds of voters in November.
As we know gas prices are soaring. If they reach $5 a gallon, Obama is big trouble. So in the end it may not matter who Romney chooses as a running-mate. I know Obama continues to blame others, and people may be ready for an adult to enter the Oval Office once again.
