My name is Renata vs Dolceluna am 66 years old and lives in Southern Switzerland, I've had fun and been with my Boomer friends :-)
17 years ago I had an ischemic stroke with right sided paralysis and subsequent aphasia, the changes that occurred with the stroke, most people with aphasia are mentally intact and have not lost intelligence or common sense. People know what they want to say but they can't.
I learned to write with my left hand, but the language difficulties are many, the slow recovery, the obligation to change even the simplest daily gestures according to his new state, of a long and difficult rehabilitation after a stroke of condemning him to silence and immobility (I'm in a wheelchair) which explains the therapies followed, from physiotherapy to speech therapy to overcome pronunciation difficulties words, but I must say very happy to return to life after a long dark period but with my sunny and always smiling character I still managed to see the sun again now in a clearer and happier light to live life.
In any case, I continued to fight and hope, fortunately, is always the last to leave.
I was hospitalized for 2 and a half years
Now, it's all over, I had terrible darkness, but then my strength intellectual reacted, he reacted wonderfully, now here I am.
