I know this stuff is reasonable (cheap) in price, but they should at least know their product when the make "instructions" for it. I would have purchased something made in the USA if there was such a thing to suit my need. But I needed a watch to wear to work to know how many miserable hours are left in the miserable day, and to add the time to all my horrible hourly reports that I must fill out ON THE HOUR to show how terrible everyone feels PER HOUR of their horrid labors. So I bought one for $9.99 at a local super store.
The 5 year warranty covers the watch movement, hands, and the dial. This is interesting because this item has none of these because it's digital. The instructions are also helpful, "to set the time, pull the crown out and adjust accordingly". Dude, this is a digital watch and it doesn't have a crown! (a crown is a thing you pull out and rotate to move the hands of the watch to the correct time, then you push it back in to lock in the time settings).
Well, if the watch isn't useful as a time piece, it does LOOK good if you wear it. According to the instructions, "Para acortar la pulsera, levante la parte superior del eslabon adustable para quitarla hebilla. Para alagar la pulsera, agregue un eslabion adjustable." I think that this is a Chinese version of a translation of Spanish into the Mexican language. Anyway, based on the cryptic drawing on the informative instruction slip of paper, it apparently is speaking about some link for the watchband to lengthen it, but no such item came with the watch. So if I had the missing "link", I could at least wear it.
I would return it for a refund, but it would cost $12.00 in gas to get my $9.99 back, so it isn't worth the effort.
The new watch was last seen laying on the floor where I will hopefully step on it in the morning.
