It's on the warm side here too. Was up to 40 today. That's warm compared to the temps we were getting. Some nights were down right frigid. Was really cold this December. 70s wouldn't feel much like Christmas to me. I'm a real stickler for how it should look and feel. Did you put a tree up? I got a small 4.5 foot tree with snow flocked branches. It has multi colored and white lights that can be changed back and forth with a remote. Everything is remote these days. I have red balls and garland on it. I was just looking over at the tree on your page (the snowy one). The one we have looks like that. I like most all cheese. Some of my favorites are sharp cheddar, provolone, and brick. Do you like mustard? Sometimes I use it as dip for cheese and also for those beef/sausage logs. Usually prefer tangy mustard, but any will do. ME

Hey June..we have a warm front moving in this evening..72 here tomorrow and Christmas. No rain is in forecast. Oir chances of snow usually peaks in Jan and Feb. Meat prices are indeed awful..I only buy if any are marked down..none were last week. But I'm not heading out to a store till after this week ends. Traffic s crazy here. Wrecks on the hour everywhere. My motto has always been Inhave more time than money -:)

Hi Lisa!   what a crazy week it's been so far and it's only Tuesday! LOL! update on my knee, today, I went back to the doctor for my post-op checkup, she was very pleased with my progress. She said the stitches needed to stay in for a few more days, but with Christmas this week, I will go back on Tuesday Dec 30th to not only get the stitches out, but to also start physical therapy. She also told me after seeing my knee from the inside, I will probebly need a total knee replacement in about 5 yrs, give or take..
We had to take my computer to the computer hospital yesterday morning,  after keeping it overnight, with no word, we stopped by the shop after my doctor's visit this afternoon, to find out what's going on (we did call once yesterday late afternoon, it still needs a new battery, which THEY said would take another 3 weeks, we decided I would bring it home as is. My hubby called another Apple verified repair shop to ask them about a battery, the hubby ended up taking my laptop there, he did a quick check, ordered the battery it needs, said it should be in his shop by Monday or Tuesday, he'd call us when he got the battery, we would bring my laptop to him and he should have it ready withiin a few hours. John even liked the people in this 2nd shop better, they took the time to talk WITH him, where the other shop worker didn't want to take the time for anything... I know this time of the year is busy and stressful, but that's a business, and John was the only person in that shop. SO, one day next week I won't have accesss of my computer for awhile.
I also posted an updated bulletiin about my brother-n-law, Robert, it was dire for a day.

Hello, Today, as always, I finished.

Time to get Mom ready. Remember:

Sleep is free, and staying awake

thinking nonsense is very expensive.

May every star light up your rest.

Just a short note from me. Still not feeling well. Went back to see my doctor this morning. I have no infection. Just have fluid behind my right ear drum. I got a steriod shot. Hopefully that will get rid of the fluid. He doesn't know why I'm achy. I took one Tyenol and one Ibprofen when I got back home. Going to take a nap soon. Enjoy your afternoon my friend and take care. Hugs

Oil of Oregano

Good idea! I also take elderberry everyday. I believe in the natural way before actually having to take medicine. I will have to try the oregano...I use it in all of my cooking (mainly because I really like it lol), but didn't know about the capsules. Thank you for the heads up!

Online shopping here too. I use oil or oregano for colds, etc. I rarely get sick, but always keep it in cabinet for colds. I get the small gel capsules from Amazon.

12/23/2025 11:11:09

Yes, it's the same in my area...it was actually frigid and now it seems almost balmy lol...I'm avoiding all the crowds and staying home...I've had the sniffles for 3 days now...not bad, just annoying. Thank goodness for online shopping!

May include: Watercolor illustration of three Christmas ornaments hanging from a pine branch. The ornaments are red, white, and green, with gold accents. Each ornament is tied with a red ribbon and bow, creating a festive holiday scene.
