This night I shall dream of your bedazzling brown hair and lion-eyes.
I long to sip from your cherry flavored lips.
In my dreams, we fly on the exquisite winged carpet of velvetness -- skimming vast continents of  mountains.
The depths of all the oceans of the universe shall never separate our souls.
Brilliant as fascinating moondrops, the seas greet us from afar.
In the twilight we feast on chocolate-coated kisses of love.
Adorned in white silk, we hear our whispering love chimes sing.

                            THE ESSENCE OF ME

Don't just look for me inwardly,
you know already that I flow,
through your veins,touching all,
the secret places,

I am also in the snow,
cold and harsh, chilling to the bone,
for with love there is sometimes,
pain, loneliness, despair,

                   A SAD AND HEARTWRENCHING VISIT TO THE CEMETARY

Last week my husband and I visited the cemetary where his Mom is buried to put flowers for her birthday.. I was walking around looking at headstones when one caught my eye. A young handsome man (his picture was on his marker) a police officer in the Marines killed in Irag at the age of 24... I could not leave that grave.. I stood and cried for him... so young and taken away to never live.. sing, or dance or make love. Never hold his child's hand ever again.. it was a sad wake up to me.. Why are we letting this happen?  Bring our troops home!

I will never forget that face or that he died right before Christmas last year!!

                                PAIN..MY ENEMY

Pain is certainly my worst enemy

Physical and mental pain

driving me insane!

When I was young everything seemed

so fun and nothing hurt

I could run.. have fun.. feel pretty

those days are gone

Tortured everyday by pain..

don't want to hear

it could be worse.

Maybe it could.. but until you wear my shoes

you don't know my sadness

my blues

The physical agony of this condition

and that one too

sing the blues

I want to know again... even one day

how it feels to run

have fun

not regret it at the end of the day.

A place so somber and lonely with no light

bats are circling around in strange flight

Feeling scared but safe somehow here

just have to face my own fear

The light feels so far away and out of reach

no sound sight or familiar faces

this has become my  escape
