The Heart Of The Warrior

Oh how the mighty have been stricken
or fallen by Love's spell,
lifted away to Paradise
or dropped into deepest Hell.

Driven by a fiery passion,
grasping a thorny rose,
onward the mighty warrior,
against Love's unyielding blows.

Smitten by the Flaming Sword,
a warrior's heart crossed,
a bloody rose falls to the ground,
another battle lost.

In the midst of fire and smoke,
across a bloody field,
a warrior begins to rise again,
a wounded heart healed.

A cry rings out triumphant,
the night will not be set,
upon the heart of a warrior,
till his desire has been met.

Behold the mighty warrior!
How he walked through the fire,
Never conquered by Love's pain,
and captured his heart's desire.

Oh Love Immortal!

Oh Love Immortal!
This Love had a beginning,
in another time,

On another plane,
in the place where Spirits dwell,
in the realm of God.

Who can recall it
save for Those who dwell there now
and watch over us?

Oh Love Immortal!
Joined together forever,
Now and forever,

never far apart,
yet beating as one heartbeat
with synchronized thoughts.

Not eternal love,
but love without an ending,
a Forever Love.

Oh Love Immortal!
Let the morning come to us,
and peace rule our hearts,

and God rule our minds,
whilst we enter the garden,
paradise by name.

Hold my hand my Love,
walk beside me forever,
in love immortal!

Life Goes On

Another night has come and gone
even without you life goes on
put the coffee on to brew
check my list of things to do

Open the door to meet the day
watch the world go on it's way
here come those lonely thoughts of you
wonder if you're thinking of me too

Memories of holding you tight
love and laughter in the night
every word you've ever said
dances around inside my head

When I total up the cost
of a love that's won then lost
even if I could never win
I'd do it all over again

Dew reflecting off the ground
sunlight sparkling all around
and now my mind begins to say
"live your life just this way"

Brand new day it's time to start
picking up the pieces of my heart
just because I paid love's dues
doesn't mean that I must lose

I know that I can pick and chose
there's no way I'd ever lose
but I believed you were the one
who'd be there when my life was done

You'll look back someday I know
and wonder why you let me go
I won't be there to take your hand
and I hope you'll understand
