This makes me laugh. Is the dictionary adding more words? I must be so old school. I was just reading something on Boomer that almost made me fell out of my chair. Is it me or is it the way they teach it in school? If it is then America would be better speaking in another language.
Some people frown on others for being so close to GOD, people who attend church service every Sunday and talk about GOD all the time. And I am one of those who you can frown upon. But I have a testimony and it is about the GOD I serve and what HE did for my daughter. Myy daughter has a Volkswagen Passat and you know those cars you can break the windows but you cannot get to the glove compartment because it has a key and when you unlock the glove compartment you can unlock the trunk using the key. Fast forward my daughter went walking by herself yesterday at a walking trail which is around the lake and lost the key or misplaced it . She was scattered brain yesterday when she went to my place. And today Sunday I need the offering bag for the tithes and it is in her trunk. Do you ever hear GOD talking to you? Or someone whispering to do this or that? That happened today after our church service. She went to the Volkswagen dealership but they told her to come back tomorrow. And she told me that GOD told her to go back to the place where she went walking yesterday. So she did ( I went with her in her car). She was about to park but I do not know what happened she decided to park in another empty spot, got out of the car and as I was looking at her I saw a surpised look in her because right there on the dirt before her eyes was a small black key with the VW on it. It was there all day yesterday and all night. And the reason why she parked in that spot was because GOD spoke to her and told her to park there. That is GOD and that is the GOD I serve.
MAKE NEW FRIENDS, BUT KEEP THE OLD; THOSE ARE SILVER, THESE ARE GOLD. NEW-MADE FRIENDSHIPS, LIKE NEW WINE, AGE WILL MELLOW AND REFINE. FRIENDSHIPS THAT HAVE STOOD THE TEST TIME AND CHANGE ARE SURELY BEST; BROW MAY WRINKLE, HAIR GROW GRAY, FRIENDSHIP NEVER KNOWS DECAY. FOR 'MID OLD FRIENDS TRIED AND TRUE, ONCE MORE WE OUR YOUTH RENEW. BUT OLD FRIENDS, ALAS MAY DIE, NEW FRIENDS MUST THEIR PLACE SUPPLY. CHERISH FRIENDSHIP IN YOUR BREAST NEW IS GOOD, BUT OLD IS BEST; MAKE NEW FRIENDS, BUT KEEP THE OLD; THOSE ARE SILVER, THESE ARE GOLD. Author: JOSEPH PARRY
Thank you Janay for speaking up. I said the same thing on my page. I even got a visitor ask me for a friend request but the page is private and has some obscene photos(you might be wondering how I saw it? Well it just popped out almost covered the screen but that does not mean that his profile shows , one can have his profile set to private but we can still see their background). I am not going to be friends with a pervert and like you said Janay they have seen what is on our profile and already know the kind of person we are. I am boring so do not send me a friend request because all you will get from me are, "how is the weather, hope you are doing well, have a nice Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday weekend or evening or afternoon or goodnight."

I guess I overslept. It is almost 11:00 AM here in sunny but overcast Bay Area Silicon Valley home of the tech giants. I do not know but is there anyone on Boomers that gets nostalgic during the holiday season. I do. I miss the ole times of caroling, jingle belling, the smell of fruit cake (not everybody likes fruit cakes), christmas stockings hung by the tree. Christmas lanterns on the window. So what is your recollection of christmas past?
Yesterday I visited some neighbors - friends and those not on my friends list - I can feel that christmas spirit in the air with the lovely pages I have seen. I really cannot make up my mind on whose page I will be nominating . Too bad some pages are set to private probably they do not want trespassers.
Today we celebrate Veterans Day in honor of our men and women who served our country and who have sacrificed their lives in making us safe. But have we ever thought of how we can give back to them? There are a lot of ways in showing our appreciation. When you see a soldier or veteran eating in a restaurant discreetly tell the waiter that you will be picking up the tab. And don't forget to thank them for their sacrifice. Post a message on a social network thanking our veterans. You never know who is reading your posts and just needed to hear “thank you.†Stop by your local war memorial and say a silent thank you to those who died while serving the country.Remember our veterans all year long- not just today. Don’t forget to acknowledge the soldiers who served our country but didn’t fight in a foreign war. Soldiers who do not fight in a foreign war are often given less attention, but are just as worthy of our praise and appreciation.

Don't buy the $300 bag and have nothing in it. Buy the $10 bag and have $290 in it. Don't go broke trying to look rich.
