Epitaph

I will haunt you, by the Moon I foreswear it!
Pray you this night that I die not afore you
Dearest villain…
Because I promise it would be your undoing
For be it in soundless deathly sleep with the creeping dawn-
Or be it in the deep cool of sapphire- with no light effusing
In those soulless moments just before…
When the space of the “between†cracks apart and
Olden shadow drips into our world.
I ‘m going to be that curse that waits to be fulfilled…
The fear hanging silently behind your lips
“Lingering†even though it goes unspoken,
I will rip through your bare flesh and mind exacting my
Revenge like a screaming flower torn from the ground.
I live now only to die… and be set loose upon you-
Unrestrained and unrelenting in my vow
I would forgo another breath this day to bring you
The suffering you’re due.
Odium fills every single cup I draw
To quench this unsatisfied thirst and
It does nothing but drive me harder, deeper,
Growing, consuming, Like an insatiable hunger,
Like a madness that has taken afire, and you’re the arsonist
Ewers of saltwater pour in over my lips,
Filling my lungs, drowning and opening my flesh
Corroding and rusting everything that was once fine in me
With your foul lies, you’ve created your Nemesis, and
Like the sweet summer breeze that calls for your dying soul…
She is beautiful and patient, Oh so patient…

Borne of the intemperate earth,
From the dank bowels of a mired lake
She rises elegantly blooming in sublime divinity
Amidst the Koi and reed, lady of shell pink luster
Glowing, as petals tremble in the cool morning mist
Pearls of wisdom, like dew on leaf
Swell in the poets mind, she is afire in creation
Drops of knowledge pool at the tip of her pen,
Ink clear as water blend over blank pages,
Lulling aromas of Nucifera drift past as words collide
In a volley of phrase and verse
The wordsmith bleeds her scent into tangible reality
Staining the fragranced air onto bare sheets of parchment
Weaving as a seamstress all the emotion and feeling
Which lips often fail to disclose, but soulful eyes can interpret
