Today, me, my co-worker and my pharmacist were suppose to have our picture taken for an add to be in the local news paper but because of something that happened last week (that something being Obamacare), I chose not to do it. When I said no, my co-worker also said no. The pharmacist, well...she had to do it. It's not gonna be a good ad and the big wigs aren't gonna be to happy about it but...I can't really care.
Last week we were all told that they're cutting hours, they have to get us under 30 hours or they have to provide us with insurance and if they don't do this, they'll get fined. The company I work for is fairly small, probably about 150 employees, they can't afford to do what Obamacare is requiring. There are a whole lot of companies out there just like mine, their having to do the same thing, a lot of people and businesses are gonna be hurt by Obamacare.
I'm totally pissed (but not surprised, I knew this was coming)... I'm a little pissed at the company I work for because they should've made me full time a long time ago (I was working 40+hours for many years) but I do understand why they are doing what they are doing. But....I'm really really pissed at the people who voted for Obama. I blame this all on them. My whole life is fixin to change, for the worse because of them. A lot of peoples lives are gonna change, because of the voters stupidity and ignorance. Oh, and I can't forget to include the voters that have the "gimme gimme" mentality.......gotta show them some love too. The one good thing about all this, I'm gonna sooo enjoy watching these people cry cuz in the end, they'll suffer just like the rest of us.... it's gonna be lovely...:)
All done, for now.......just needed to vent a little.
I'm writting this blog for 2 reasons. 1) to rant and 2) to give you good people some good advice.
If you are old enough to have a Part D Insurance plan or lucky enough to have any insurance at all, just some words of advice.... do not wait until YOU ARE OUT OF MEDICINE to call in for a refill. PLEASE call a day or two in advance. Another thing, look at your bottles, it will tell you if and how many refills you have left. Crap happens that is way beyond our control sometimes.
The new year almost always brings about new insurance plans and it's never a smooth transition....NEVER. We had a whole butt load of folks that didn't get their medicine today because one Part D plan didn't have their crap together. And yes, I'm gonna say it...the company was Silver Script. For some idiotic reason they decided to wait till today to put in all their new patients, BAD IDEA.
Most of our people, I've been dealing with them for 10 to 12 years, they were pretty nice and understanding but there's always a few pricks out there and they make the day even worse. There were a few today that made me want to jump over the counter and hurt them.
One more bit of advice, stick with your small home grown pharmacies....they are the ones that will care enough to be on the phone, on hold for 30 minutes to try and find out why your insurance won't pay for your medicine. They will care enough to find a drug that you can afford that will do the same job. They are the ones that will try to make your life easier and make you healthier. The bigger companies, they don't give a crap...it's all about the money for them.
Ok, I'm done. I could say more but the day wore me out and I'm ready for a beer now...
