"THE SECRET ROOM"
Posted On 03/16/2011 07:39:41

THE SECRET ROOM

I am waiting for you in the secret room

In the hidden corner of my mind..

I walk down the long corridor in the dead of night..

And visit here from time to time.

The candles are burning softly..

I hear the crackle of the logs on the fire..

And as I sit here in my black nightgown waiting..

I am filled with desire.

I know that you will come..

You love to meet me here..

You are the man who gives me restless dreams..

And charges into my daytime thoughts without fear..

The outside world knows nothing..

Of this secret room for you and I..

It is the only place I can feel you close to me..

I can touch you, hold you, and listen to your sighs.

You can freely give to me..

That special part of you..

With the soft tender kisses,

That here..you can swear to me are true.

Is that a soft knock I hear?

Oh My heart is beating so fast..

And here you are, the man in my dreams..

Yes, oh yes.. we are together at last.

"MY SHELTER"
Posted On 02/17/2011 09:40:12

MY SHELTER

I was wandering cold and alone
In a darkened woods
It was raining.
The whipping wind was making the
Dark trees sway-
I was stumbling along-
I had lost my way.
The woods had been beckoning me,
Calling me-wanting me to come that day.
My hair whipped around my face-
I didn’t know which way to go.
Then to my surprise-
Far in the distance-
I thought I saw a fire’s glow.
Hope built in my heart,
As painstakingly, with branches, and brambles
Grabbing, pulling me back,
I made my way to where the firelight was at.
I say a woodsman sitting in
A makeshift shelter-
He was feeding his fire,
As I drew near.
He looked up-
He seemed to sense that I was there.
I somehow knew I had nothing to fear.
Without a sound, he came to me-
He wrapped me in his coat so tight,
He took me into his shelter-
That dark, rainy, windy night.
He placed a cup of something hot
In my cold, trembling hands-
And as he added wood to the fire-
I had a chance to really look at this man.
He was strong, with broad shoulders,
Wearing a flannel shirt and jeans.
His hair was gray-
His eyes looked brownish-green.
He turned and looked at me-
And caught me in my stare-
He smiled, and his eyes twinkled-
I saw the kindness there.
The wind continued to rage through the trees.
The rain continued to pour-
But here, warming myself by this fire,
I didn’t seem to notice it so much anymore.
He came and sat next to me-
In that little shelter made of pine.
We were warm and dry in there-
Yet the closeness of him--
Made a chill run up my spine.
He quietly began to talk to me,
As I watched the smoke from our fire-
Disappear up into the trees.
I still don’t know where that night went-
Safe and protected with this stranger.
It was one of the most wonderful nights-
That I have ever spent.
Somewhere in the night-
He pulled me close, and held me
In his strong arms.
I slept soundly on his chest-
Knowing he’d keep me safe from all harm.
Morning came before I realized-
I felt snuggly, cozy, and warm-
And I looked up into loving eyes.
Quite unexpectedly, he reached down-
And softly kissed me,
Gently touched my face.
Oh, that precious moment—
I knew my mind would never erase.
He took me out of the wood that day-
Him holding my hard in his warm one,
Me following, as he led the way.

Suddenly, I awoke ---
This had all been a dream.
I thought, how parallel to my own life
It seemed.
Going through life, feeling lost and alone-
Not knowing which way to go.
With trials and troubles trying to hold me back,
While temptuous winds blow.
Yet, still striving towards rescue, towards hope-
Like going towards the fire glow.
Then, at last, finding a shelter-
In YOU, MY LOVE..
Someone, I hold so dear-
Taking care of me in a quiet way-
Teaching me not to fear.
You have held me so close-
Like you did in my dream that day.
You have given me strength to carry on-
You have given me such love..
I can never repay.

Love..
Nancy

"LOVE IS IN THE WIND"

                                   LOVE IN THE WIND

She comes as an “unseen figure”

Whipping through the trees..

Making ghostly sounds..

Whirling high the unsuspecting leaves.

On and on she goes..

Unsettling everything in sight..

Going hither and fro..

Pushing with all her might.

She has a mind of her own..

She goes where she dares..

Leaving a trail behind her..

As up the valley she tears.

Sometimes she will rest so quietly..

And make nary a sound.

She is watching..looking..waiting..

Then she is off again with a bound!

Over the mountains and the hills,

With a speed brought on by desire..

Going faster and faster..

The feeling inside her burns like fire.

Do you feel her coming?

Are the chills running up your spine?

Do you feel your excitement building?

A wild tryst..maybe coming to mind?

Oh yes.. love is “in the wind”..

Don’t you hear her howling sounds?

The sounds of a wild expectancy..

As to her lover she bounds!

"OLD GAS STATIONS"

"OLD GAS STATIONS"

AS I STAND AND LOOK AT THIS OLD GAS STATION..

A SENSE OF SADNESS COMES OVER ME..

I CAN'T HELP BUT THINK OF "YESTERYEAR..

AND THE WAY THINGS USED TO BE.

WHEN THE "GOOD OLD BOYS" WOULD GATHER HERE..

TO MULL OVER THE TOWNS GOSSIP, AND EVENTS.

TO SHARE STORIES, AND A SMOKE..

AND PUMP YOUR GAS FOR JUST A FEW CENTS.

THEY WOULD WASH YOUR WINDOWS,

CHECK YOUR TIRES..AND EVEN YOUR OIL TOO.

THEY WOULD RUN..NOT WALK..TO GET YOUR CHANGE..

AND EVEN HAVE A SPECIAL SMILE FOR YOU.

YOU WOULD BE CALLED, "MAM" OR "SIR".
.

WHICH WAS JUST THE "OLD GENTLEMANLY "STYLE"..

AS YOU WAITED FOR YOUR  BLOWN OUT TIRE FIXED..

FOR JUST A LITTLE WHILE.

HONEST PAY FOR AN HONEST JOB..

LONG HOURS, GREASE AND GRIME..

IT WAS THE WAY OF "THE GAS STATION MEN"..

FROM A MORE GENTLER, CARING, TIME.

AHHH YES..THOSE DAYS ARE LONG GONE NOW..

I JUST STAND HERE AND REMINISCE..

A SHIVER GOES UP MY SPINE..COULD IT BE?

CAN I BE?

I THINK I HEARD THE GAS STATION BELL RING IN THE MIDST.

MYSTICS OF THE FOREST
Posted On 01/24/2011 10:38:57

Cloudy, damp & drear..
Yet the mystical forests..
Draw me near..
I look around.. my skin prickles..
I feel a sense of fear.

It draws me in, surrounds me..
Intoxicates me...
The "mystics" of the forest..
Smile and wait..
They Know that I am Here.

THE MAGIC OF A KISS

“THE MAGIC OF A KISS”

DO YOU REMEMBER THE MAGIC OF THAT FIRST KISS?
THAT MOONLIT STARRY NIGHT WHEN YOU STAND TOGETHER
WITH THE WIND BLOWING THROUGH YOUR HAIR..~

WHEN YOU LOOK UP INTO HIS EYES..
AND HE IS LOOKING INTO YOURS WITH SUCH INTENSITY..
THAT YOU HAVE TO LOOK AWAY?

THE CLOSENESS OF HIS BODY..
EVEN THOUGH NOT TOUCHING.. YOU CAN FEEL THE HEAT BETWEEN YOU..
..LIKE FIRE..
YOUR BODY STARTS TO TREMBLE..
SOMETHING INSIDE OF YOU STIRS..

YOU LOOK UP..AND SUDDENLY..
YOU HAVE TO COME TOGETHER..
WITH A PASSIONATE HUNGER FOR EACH OTHER..
THAT CAN NOT BE DENIED.

YOU SHUT YOUR EYES..
. YOU SMELL HIS MASCULINITY..
YOU FEEL HIS LIPS..
YOU LOSE YOUR SELF IN THIS MOMENT..

THAT KISS..
OH YES..THE “MAGIC” OF THAT KISS..
