WHATS PAST IS PAST ~ He’s shut the door leaving me here soiled loins still shivery, shaking begging for more. Didn’t he see passions nectar dripping off this gown? Couldn’t he see electricity had struck leaving hairs on my body standing? Didn’t it bother him when my shoulder strap broke? I can still feel his lips running down my neck towards the rose he’d laid between these breasts. Didn’t he notice the glass slippers he’d begged me to wear, teasing him, he said? What a waste; tis not I that’s the tease. I’ll be the one leaving him shuttering where he stands. Glass slippers smashed. A prince who’d become a toad. I’ve returned to the hovel of a spider webbed cottage. No pumpkin here. An old lantern lay in the leaves of memories. What’s past is past shown in the lanterns light. I was led astray. Footprints crunch the silence in the wind of the trees. I’m not Cinderella after all. Rachealgrace Adams….4/7/11…….(c)………Copyright Protected…………..

When are the Killing Fields going to stop? Our soldiers, your soldiers young men, old men women and children. When are these Killing Fields going to stop? Countries without boundaries now ~ How did school grounds, shopping malls, movies, markets; where are we safe from Killing Fields? Who’s to blame ~ societies, guns, bomb holders? How did they get to this state of mind without being noticed? Where they noticed? Was political correctness to blame? No one seems to step forward fearing the public eye turning on them when all they hoped and prayed for was for the Killing Fields to stop! Anger towards others hidden in themselves afraid there is no help. It seems impossible no one sees, no one speaks; anger, frustration, rage, when does the helplessness begin? Stop the Killing Fields of the world’s condemnation in all the worlds’ societies. December 14th, 2012 ~ 26 dead and counting ~ Rachealgrace Adams…………….(c)……………… Copyright Protected

BEAU ~ Candle wax had dripped off its plate during the time I’d looked at old photos before returned them to their cabinet of dead dreams. Silence the only explanation of an empty bed, sitting in a house build of cards where my blood spilled out. Remembering that witness chair one question ringing in my ears, is this marriage over? I remember saying it loudly twice, I never wanted this divorce! Mr. and Mrs. X, that’s all we are now. Looking back I can’t say I didn’t see signs, overlooking them loving you the way I did. was it all a façade, those sixteen years? Unknowingly you left me with unconditional love! Beau! Raising him from eight weeks old he was there, when I fell on the floor. My face he cuddled kissing my tears away. Home from the hospital his tail waging, kissing his mommy he’s missed so much. He never left my side while I healed, laying in my arms, his little head on my shoulder, eyes never leaving my face, keeping me safe! How could I possibly mourn you? His small presence replaced your absent arms. Beau held my heart between his paws. When he was afraid or hurt, he’d lay next to my chest, his heart pounding, piercing my heart. No, he’d never suffer for my sake, I’d see to that. As I recovered, we’d talk, play ball, take long walks; he loved when it snowed. Oh, how he loved when I brushed his long hair shaking himself, standing tall, he was “my†little man! That final day he lay with his head in my lap, Sensing he was going to his vet. Yet calmly he rode all the way. Once there, completing his tests we all knew that this was the day. For some reason I’d taken his favorite blue blanket knowing he’d feel more safe laying there, them probing and testing, I never left his side. We knew results were bad. It was the worst of times that day we knew, but pray never comes. When finally I had to say the words no one wants to otter or hear. But keep him comfortable for a week or two just to make me feel better while he suffered I couldn’t do. Not when he’d given me his unconditional love it was my turn now, to take care of him. Both of us knowing the true meaning of unconditional love! I carried him in his blue blanket to what was known as the “quiet room.†My baby (my child) rapped in his blue blanket next to my heart, one hand holding his little head under my chin. Tears running down my cheeks, he looked up at his “mommy†kissing me twice on my chin. The greatest unconditional love I’d ever known passed quickly in my arms. My heart shattered that day! His vet knew him and me so well, all day, coming back into that “quiet room,†where I sat holding him. Finally at five P.M., his assistant came, all I could say was, “you’ll have to take him, I can’t give him away! So gently she lifted him from my aching arms, my heart scattered in tiny pieces covered that room. Someone (I don’t remember who) drove me home, eyes so swollen, I couldn’t see. Someone from my church came for me thinking I shouldn’t be alone that night. There I stood in the middle of a prayer group still crying my heart out. Some I think thought I was over reacting, after all, he was only a dog! Not to me, he was the only unconditional love I’d ever known in this life. Rapped in his blue blanket that night trying to sleep, that eternal question flowing in my tears; how does one continue to live without unconditional love? Four years have passed now, his picture placed in each room. Ashes lay on my nightstand, along with a clay paw print they’d made after he’d passed. Not a single day has passed when he hasn’t been in spirit, following me from room to room. Daily walks, car rides, sometimes still cuddled at my feet, still the only unconditional love I’ve known in this life! It’s written and known when my time comes, our ashes together taken to the mountains we both loved. Ashes and dust blown in the wind, at last sharing Gods unconditional love. COME WHISPER IN MY EAR BELOVED share with me the treasures entwined within the honey cone. Take my hand; dip my finger in its sweetness. Whisper in my ear listen to the earth where the tree fell its roots exposed crying for the body it once held. Whisper in my ear remember our Mocking bird’s song since all we’ve found were scattered feathers beneath its favored tree. Did they fall together my beloved? Whisper in my ear before the hive drops leaving cones runny with honey through the bare roots of its beloved tree. Are we not all the same my beloved whispering to one another with broken wings in the ruins of the Dome. Whisper in my ear its time to take what wings we’ve left finding another hive. That moment something shapeless pulled him from a mother’s womb, tears fell from stained eyes he doesn’t remember. God’s luminescents filled a mare’s body when tiny legs slid into light; jolting a colt from its shelter. Instantaneously, a colt knew his lineage was gone. Birth’s radiance became a shadow over predetermined destiny. Fury flogged untimed weaning. Socially acceptable behavior motivated impulsive disagreements with the herd that had taken him. The warmth that once protected extinction turned into a runny existence of lies. Life necessitated submission while God whispered, “one day this conflict will be over.†A yearling now; he wandered aimlessly climbing mountainous terrains, traversing hollows and valleys. New herds hesitated; greeting him with trails of allegations; fruitless questions. They nayed any explanations why humanity and nature sought his empathetic understanding. He was cursed with perpetual punishment being an annoyance to deaf ears. What was his secret? What were they concealing? Seasons passed ~ Reigning in an incomprehensible spirit to the blind; they shriveled consuming rotting fruit. His coat of white shimmered in any pond; a silver mane dangled over the sides of a sleek neck. His tail arched dancing in sunlit breezes. A spear was a crown mingling among agnostic rocks. They jeered him, those with two unbranched horns. They mocked, testing the grace of his spirituality he knew sustained him. He raised his head acknowledging the sovereignty of his heritage only he understood. Memories of a mother’s tears haunted him. He wandered alone till ascending, trembling in the hands of God. He’d been a Unicorn lost in herds of antelope ~ Rachealgrace Adams……..11/10/2012 Copyright protected

miss placed a glove? One you know you’ve put away with its mate last time you wore it; now it’s not there? You’ve emptied its drawer; all the others are there except one? You can’t wear just one glove; you’ve two hands, each a pair! You’ve searched everywhere, any place you think you might have set it last time you wore it. You’ve looked is silly places, the pantry and refrigerator. You remember once in a hurry putting groceries away you’d put a head of lettuce in the freezer; so you check there; it isn’t there either? It’s maddening ~ Eventually you give up, thinking I’ll try again tomorrow. Tomorrow other pressing things have taken you mind off that glove! Now you’ve forgotten about it; seasons change, you don’t need it anymore. Life moves on, you use another pair, pushing aside that one glove left behind. One day you’re cleaning out things, Rearranging; just as life does to us. It’s cleanses us, placing us in new surroundings, Rearranged to suit life today. There it is; out of nowhere, stuck in a crack where the drawer slides! You pull it out, shake it out, smooth it out; it’s just as good as new. Now after one or two seasons have passed, suddenly this pair of gloves are the ONLY pair you need! You don’t know why? You don’t care? All you know is you’ve found something you valued and lost. Now you’ve got it back! Rachealgrace Adams…………6/20/2012………©………… Copywriter protected

BITTER CHOCOLATE CAFÉ I’d come home expecting you beside the vase of my dying rose. Melted chocolate lay in a puddle; had I left you too long? Longing to satisfy this bitter sweet craving I went back to the “Bitter Chocolate Café†It’s difficult to peruse a bar when the items for sale are dimly lit. Something dragged me from my shopping into a rose colored light. Suddenly “I†was a fine piece of chocolate, melting in the thin cover I wore. My scent just right, He’d found his Bitter Sweet Bar!
