Busy Times for Me
Posted On 07/24/2014 02:11:56

First off, thanks for the birthday wishes. It was a sad time for me since our pet cocktail Coco, passed away the night before at the age of 17 years old. That silly guy was like part of the family. Even ate dinner at the table went it was suppertime with us. Would hang out watching TV with us, and had super amazing hearing. Just like a watch dog, letting you know when a someone is near. But his memories will live on.

We're in the process of buying a new home. Our offer got accepted, so things are beginning to roll. Looking at 6~8 weeks to close. 6 people grew up where we are now, so I have lots of memories and what some refer to as "junk" to go through. Not looking forward to that at all. Very overwheling, to say the least. Please keep me in your prayers that I can do this process stress free, while still working too. The good thing is we can do it at our own pace, as the new place is empty now. Small baby steps will be good, and the new home is only a mile down the road. And no where by water to flood us, as that was what we were dealing with here many times a year after a heavy rain or quick snow melt.

So on that note, I'm off the Myrtle Beach for some R&R. Need to clear out my head before the big move takes place. Cause soon it will be picking out new carpeting, painting walls, and scrubbing from floor to ceiling. Hope everyones summer is going well for them. Enjoy cause it goes by way too fast. Hugs to you my friends!!

Long Distance Happy Birthday
Posted On 02/03/2014 09:08:18

On Saturday Feb 1, my youngest Megan, turned 25 years old. It was bittersweet, as she's over 3,000 miles away, and 3 time zones difference. She recently moved out to Oregon after completing college and getting her degree in Occupational Therapy. She loves helping others ~~ trying to get them back to normal after having surgery or some other misfortune.

This weekend here in town at Watkins Glen, NY, we went to a Ice Wine festival. Lots of ice cravings, along with good food, drinks, and music. Several bars were made out of ice, along with tables. One of their drinks was poured through a ice sculpture, and landed into your glass. Very neat watching that all night, along with the colored lights reflecting off the ice. Even had fireworks over the freezing cold lake afterwards, to end the evening.

As my husband John & I were drinking champagne, we called Megan's cell, and toasted to her 25th birthday. She was going out herself with a friend to celebrate. We've got plane tickets to go visit her in April. It will be my first time out to Oregon. I've heard lots of nice things about the state.

The weekend ended on a happy note for my son. He was on a SuperBowl board, and he had the final score. for his number. Lets just say he's much richer now than he was 24 hours ago. Hoping that he can at least take mom & dad out to a nice restaurant for a meal :)

Hope everyone had a nice relaxing weekend. We are in for a big snowstorm starting tomorrow night. Right now they are saying 6 ~ 12 inches of snow. Time will tell!

Would have posted pictures to this blog, but not sure how to do it. Not seeing any button allowing me to perform that action. Hmmmm......

HELLO
Posted On 01/23/2014 12:01:30

I'm new here, and this is my first blog. I sure do miss Multiply, as nothing compares to that site. It's been very cold here in Upstate New York, with temps below zero, and some snow. I'm a warm weather kind of gal, and live for my summers. I love the sun and the beach. Goes well with my water sign, I guess.

Trying to maneuver around this site, and figure things out. If I knew ya from Multiply, please friend me. Also if you have the same interest, I'd love to be your friend.

Hopefully I'll like this place, and stay awhile. Wishing you a wonderful week.
