I'm a voracious reader so I'm not even going to try to list them all.... ALL TIME FAVES? The Bible Lord of the Rings Trilogy (read all of them the summer I turned 14) HUBBY AND I ARE DEDICATING THIS YEAR TO READING THE BIBLE ALL THE WAY THRU....WE BOUGHT TWO OF THOSE "1-YEAR BIBLES" AND THEY MAKE IT A SNAP!!

reading, scrapbooking, eating, writing, journal keeping, eating, singing, gardening, scripture study, eating, swimming, tennis, MYSPACE, spreading His love wherever I can, eating, re-connecting with my three amazing kids, watching my granddaughter Lauren grow, tending to my new aquarium (like I needed something ELSE to do, right?), eating, good old-fashioned snail-mail correspondence (y'know...letters? remember them?) with all my lifelong friends in New England who don't own computers (yes, there really ARE people who don't), collecting and sharing one-liners (see my Thought for the Day blogs...) did I say eating?

Friday, March 5th, 2010 Today's Thought : QUIT WORRYIN' ABOUT YOUR OWN HALO & SHINE UP YOUR NEIGHBOR'S!!! HaaHaa! Wishin' all a Wacky weekend! cuonMonday.... Love, D Come visit me over at www.dustysfrontporch.com Just a Christian Disciple...working overtime to spread the Gospel as far & as fast as I can in the time I have here. I manage a website of spiritual stories and poem called Dustys Front Porch...(Y'all come visit!!) I give free poetry readings all over Charlotte of the stuff on the porch...most of which I've scribbled over the last 30 years... I belong to various Christian communities on the Web, make and give away Disciples Crosses to new believers, paint a line of T-shirts I call "Witness Wear" (you can see the gallery at the bottom of the Porch's first page!!) I also have a prison ministry where we go into the city jails several times a month on Saturday mornings to hold Bible study with the women. I'll blog later about my own personal "epiphany" that turned me from a closet Christian to an "in-your-face" believer!! Cool story!! (pay attention...it took me YEARS & TEARS to figure this out: One should not approach life's journey from cradle to grave as an effort to arrive safely and on time, in a calm, dignified manner with an attractive, well-preserved body and a seriously sober attitude.... Instead, one should: slide in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, with a body completely used up and totally worn-out, laughing hysterically, gasping for breath, shrieking at the top of your lungs, "YAHOO!! WHAT A RIDE!!"

Anyone or anything that can make me laugh! People who are upfront and honest Pasta!! (preferably with shrimp somewhere in the vicinity! My handsome hubby! My granddaughter Lauren! Country Music! Poppa Tom for the invite and the whole idea of a place just for US!! BRAVO!
