Night owl is a term used to describe a person who tends to stay up late at night. The term has been derived primarily from the nocturnal habits of the owl. Usually, night owls keep awake past midnight, with extreme night owls staying awake until 5:00 or 6:00 AM. I have known that I am a night owl since early childhood. To this day, or perhaps I should say evening, going to bed at midnight is still early for me.
