Music: I love Country music but can endure Bluegrass music out of love for my husband. We attend a Bluegrass Festival in Lodi, NY called Picking 'n' the Pasture, every August and have a great time of it. I am especially calmed and soothed by piano instrumentals. This is my choice when home alone doing household chores indoors.

This is what makes me who and what I am ... the quaintness of our little boro of Salladasburg with all of its red-necked characteristics, a rural life filled with family, flowers, gardening and building memories together as we share ourselves with one another. This is the life and it just doesn't get much better than this. Books: Well of course, THE BOOK...the Holy Bible, Joyce Myers books, books by Max Lucado, Histories (I am mostly a non fiction reader) I do enjoy the fiction with a historic basis like those written by James A. Michener and some poetry (Alice Walker).

Ah, what is there to say about us? We are just ordinary folks. We love our Lord, Jesus Christ, our family, each other and enjoy a wonderful back to basics rural life style. We've been blessed with 7 lovely grand children that keep our home lively and usually rather trashed. For recreation and leisure we camp primative in the pre-1840 era of canvas shelters and dress accordingly as we attend local club rendezvous and also the annual Eastern Rendezvous. Our adult children and their families also attend and are active in this with us. I have made nearly all of our period clothes and do enjoy sewing. I also make quilts and hand quilt them on a frame my husband has made for me. We attend tractor shows,farm equipment auctions, Bluegrass Festivals, do gardening and seem to always be in some phase or another of remodeling our home. My husband and sons hunt with their black powder guns and venison is a good portion of our diet along with our home canned and frozen fruits and vegetables
