Wake Up America! Take a Stand!
Posted On 10/02/2008 09:50:37

Photobucket

Take a look around you

What do you see?

Is the world changing?

Are we still free?

We elect officials

To represent us

Then why is it that

We’re under the bus?

How did the economy

Get so bad?

Other  countries watching

It is all so sad.

People are struggling

Just to survive

What do we have to do

To stay alive?

Everything is rising

The price we have to pay

Can’t we do something?

Don’t we have a say?

People losing houses

And their jobs too

I think it’s scary

How about you?

Gas prices rising

Heating costs will too

Where does it end?

What can we do?

People please wake up

Before it’s too late

Don’t let politics

Rule our fate.

Speak out and do something

We have to take a stand

Talk to your representatives

Make your demands

If things don’t change

Who knows what will be?

Don’t wait too long

Or we may not be free.

A Play on Words
Posted On 09/05/2008 01:48:37
Photobucket

Sometimes it is lots of fun
To let my mind go wild
It is then that I regress
Back to when I was a child

I like to have a play on words
And let them tell their tale
Who knows where they will lead
But words they hardly fail

It gives me time to let you know
Just what is on my mind
So please as you read my words
Don’t judge the things you find

You see I’ve been called a wordsmith
Not sure just what that means
Cause when I play with my words
They’re never what they seem

I hope that I amuse you
And bring a smile or two
Cause if I did then I’m real glad
That I did that for you

A Confused Mind?
Posted On 09/05/2008 01:23:37
Photobucket I am where I am right now
 But may not be tomorrow
I could be where I was before
 Or where I wasn’t going
To be there now instead of here
Will take me back to yesterday
But today will be tomorrow Tomorrow isn’t here right now
So I’ve been lost somehow
Cause yesterday becomes today And today becomes tomorrow
If you can understand this
Then where are you my friend
Are you before or here right now Or somewhere yet to be

I Have A Vision
Posted On 09/01/2008 02:53:30
Photobucket I have a vision that hides within
From all the world to see
There is a sanctuary where
I like to go
I guess its only for me
There is no war or crime in my world
Or greed or hate at all
Only beauty that I put there
Surrounded by my little wall
Flowers bloom and children play
Smiles they abound
Nothing there is evil
There’s happiness all around
I like to stumble into my world
When everything else comes apart
It restores my faith in man
And reopens a broken heart
I know that it is fantasy
And probably never will be
But that’s ok cause I can go
And see what I want to see
So in this restless world of ours
If you need to find some peace of your own
Close your eyes and make one too
Or take mine on loan
Don’t let others get you down
Or take away the you
Remember you have but one chance
No one has two
Find a way to let go
Of the hurts that you met
They can only hurt you more
If you don’t let go of it
Look for good in others
For there is plenty there
Don’t be so down on them
They come from who knows where
We all have battles that we must fight
 And work our way through
Give another the benefit
And maybe they will for you

Inside of Me
Posted On 09/01/2008 02:48:58
Photobucket Down in the valley of the shadow of me
Lurks someone that most never see
It is a part that rarely comes through
Just as well, it might scare you
Thoughts that are driven through my brain
Come pouring out like the pouring rain
Little does the world know
Only what I intentionally show
Here I am playing with words inside my head
Hoping that somehow they will be read
Opening up just a little each day
Finding myself in many ways
People who think they know me really don’t
But that’s okay, cause most of them won’t
Here I sit and type away
Knowing that its all in play
So as you go through and read my words in print
Maybe somewhere you will get a hint
Of who it is lurking inside me
Or only who I want you to see

Help Me Find...
Posted On 09/01/2008 02:44:45
Photobucket Help me find the dance inside of me
The rhythm of my heart
The one that makes life worthwhile
Tell me we won’t ever part
Show me how to come alive
And sing a soft melody
One that plays forever
Between you and me
Find my soul and give it wings
Into the rest of my days
Give me hope and give me love
In oh so many ways
Find the core of who I am
Make me want to sigh
Then my love, my darling
I will never say goodbye

Alone
Posted On 09/01/2008 02:38:29
Photobucket When at night I turn off the lights
And alone in my bed I lie
My thoughts turn to you my love
And they usually make me sigh
I long for the feel of your skin next to mine
As we move about in the bed
Your touch will be felt on my soft skin
Cause this is where it all led
The kiss you leave upon my neck
And down my body you go
Softly I will moan with delight
The pleasures I will show
You hold me close and I see your eyes
They tell a tale to me
Words don’t need to be spoken
Your heart I can clearly see
Your body fills me with delight
And I do the same for you
Our night will be filled with happiness
From all the things we do

Be Alert
Posted On 09/01/2008 02:36:58
Photobucket Be alert to vultures lurking about to scavenge the broken pieces of your heart. They appear in layers slowly peeling away until your eyes can see. Kind and attentive to your needs…allowing you to fall…then they peck at the jagged edges that were left behind by others. Lost you grasp for what is perceived to be a savior…but indeed is the devil with holy cloth. Slowly…slowly eating away…undermining you and hoping to unravel the frazzled frays of leftover bounty. Your defenses shield you and words escape the bowels of your soul…trying to protect what’s left…and chastised for speaking out. Forgive the lost and lonely soul that decries their patterned life…and seeks refuge from life’s evil, wicked ways. They crawl first to find their place…only to have society knock them back down. Slowly they move…gently they climb…and one day they embark on the mountain of truth…and then they triumph. Hail to the hearty…

I Don't Want...
Posted On 09/01/2008 02:34:57
Photobucket I don't want to become the old person that I am...
lying wait inside pristine walls and surrounded by the delicate adornments begotten from a lifetime of saving.
Nor would I want to be the young person whose youth was stolen and foraged ahead to adulthood with little knowledge of where it would lead.
My destiny has taken me to where I stand...
alone, sometimes sad, lost...
but always alive within my world.
I get to pick and choose who I allow to visit, and the list has gotten smaller over the years.
Experience taught me to not always trust what is visible,
I sometimes have to rely on my gut...
but even then...
I have been fooled by the wisest.
Silly me.
The path before me is unfamiliar and sometimes dark.
Choice is always my option,
but knowing which will provide me with the end result I crave is difficult...
so sometimes...
I don't choose at all and let the chips fall where they may.
The light comes through,
and guides me along the journey...
and I hope that it will guide me gently to where I need to be.
like many,
I try the road less traveled,
only to find the evil, wicked, deceitful scavengers who lie in wait to my vulnerabilities...
hoping to cash in on their secret, hidden pleasures...
but I eventually see through them...
and they become less important in my voyage.
Shame on them who dare to deceive...
for in the end...
they will receive their rightly due.
Scorn those that promise to reprieve and wander off for selfish pursuits...
leaving me in the dusty bowl of life scrambling to find another way.
Eventually the dust will settle...
it will be mine.
Until then, amidst the bustle of life lie I...
still searching...
trying to find.
Needless to say...
I have a way to go...
but in the end...
it will have been my posturing that got me to where I land.
And only I will know if I made the right choices...
and I will see who stands beside me.
