hope it makes you smile x would you be pleased if your boyfriend called you a ,*Strumpet..? over historical times in England there were many famous ladies in the Kings royal Court.. as Misttresses......such as Nell Gwynne ..an orange seller..caught Charles 2nd s eye..if you found favour with the King it was an honour...or with his courtiers..they would have a portrait painted ..portrayng them as a Goddess or a saint!.....they equated outer beauty with .Inner virtue....it was dangerous being a mistress...the girls tried to catch the courtiers in high positions ..using their beauty... one girl of 18 y escaped after catching the Kings eye...en route to her wedding..!according to the Diarist in London ... it was dangerous to be a Kings Mistress [as we learnt from Henry viii..[8th]even tho it may have looked glamourous...!
