I could be said that my investigation of pharmacological deception began in college when I visited the college physician for cold symptoms once. While there, and without ever mentioning any psychological symptoms, the physician stated I seemed depressed and said he would be willing to prescribe an anti-depressant for me if I desired. I was a double major and one of my majors was psychology. Initially, I intended to complete my education with a doctorate in psychology and so as a prospective clinical psychologist, I was incensed that a GP (general practitioner) would have the effrontery to first diagnose and then prescribe a psycho-pharmacological drug. Later, in a conversation with the college psychologist I expressed my concern. The college psychologist said she would "get back to me". At a later meeting, she said she had consulted one of the college psychiatrists who suggested I may be experiencing an anxiety disorder. I was outraged my serious concerns had fallen on deaf ears. I was truly living in a nightmare. Nevertheless, I was not deterred. I didn't reach my initial goal of becoming a clinical psychologist and subsequent experiences built on my increasing knowledge of the level of corruption not only within that profession but in many others as well.
The corruption continues even today long past my initial metanoia about some of the things we are living amidst.

Hello folks, I am a newbie here, and a refugee from MySpace. MySpace started out alright and I met many nice and interesting people there over the years. After the Murdoch scourge gained control, it ceased being a fun and interesting place to be. Where there used to be interactivity among members now, the workspaces and pages are filled with corporate fluff all paying tribute to the Aussie interloper. Our pages belong to us, they are our creation, yet the crooked politicians and lawyers have finagled their way into taking control of our property once again. Users should have control over what MySpace puts onto their pages, but no, old Rupert doesn't want it that way. These people who are apparently running the show these days do not realize they are eating the goose that lays the golden egg. So what's the alternative? One of the few responses I get to what I post over there these days (and I had over 2000 "friends") recommended this place and now I'm here.
