Thinking outside of the left/right paradigm box Hello peepz, How many of us have been beaten up by the choices we have during election? Does it feel as if no matter which way we vote, we the people are going to get screwed? May I offer to suggest that a large portion of this fustration is due to the fact the our nation is stuck in a left/right paradigm. The sad fact is, our nation has been duped into believing that there are only two choices at the ballot box when it comes to the General Presidential Election. One of the things I do when praying is thank God that there are still a few good eggs left in the duopoly we call the Democratic and Republican parties, and one of them is Dr. Ron Paul. Hats off to him and those that are left who are like him. Am glad to see that every year he runs for President, Dr. Paul brings a stronger Libertarian message to the Republican convention, and he will usually back a third party candidate once this is accomplished (last election he backed the Constitution Party Candidate- Chuck Baldwin). Which leads me into my next point. There are other options out there during Presidential Elections. They are called "third parties". The problem is, we the peepz have it in our minds that we must pull either the "D" or the "R" lever or our vote is wasted. The only reason I pull the "R" lever during the Presidential Primaries is because the good Dr. Ron Paul is a Presidential candidate, and I encourage others to do the same. Wouldn't it be nice if Ron won the primaries . God's speed to you Dr. Paul. Having said that, if we are stuck with a GOP candidate like a Romney, or any of the other neo-cons I will suggest another option. We are all online here, unless SOPA totally destroys google searches and the like, we can still google such things as "The Libertarian Party" or the "Constitution Party" and pull up such things as party platforms and current candidates and so forth. We the people can choose to vote on priciple if neither of the to big brother parties offers us a candidate who will keep their oath to obey and defend the constitution. Even the Green Party would do a better job than these NWO puppets we have in power now, and the Greens are interventionists to the core . In conclusion, will suggest to all my fellow freedom loving peepz out there to consider voting third party this year barring Dr. Paul's election in the primaries. ~ Blessings
It was many, and many a year ago, In a kingdom by the sea, That a maiden there lived whom you may know By the name of Annabel Lee; And this maiden she lived with no other thought Than to love and be loved by me.
She was a child and I was a child, In this kingdom by the sea, But we loved with a love that was far more than love- I and my Annabel Lee- With a love that the winged seraphs of heaven Coveted her and me.
And this was the reason that, long ago, In this kingdom by the sea, A wind blew out of a cloud by night Chilling my Annabel Lee; So that her highborn kinsmen came And bore her away from me, To shut her up in a sepulcher In this kingdom by the sea.
The angels, not half as happy in heaven, Went envying her and me: Yes! that was the reason (as all men know, In this kingdom by the sea.) That the wind came out of the cloud, chilling And killing my Annabel Lee.
But our love it was stronger by far than the love Of those who were older than we- Of those far wiser than we- And neither the angels in heaven above Nor the demons down under the sea, Can ever dissever my soul from the soul Of the beautiful Annabel Lee:
For the moon never beams without bringing me dreams Of the beautiful Annabel Lee; And the stars never rise but I see the bright eyes Of the beautiful Annabel Lee; And so, the nighttide, I lie down by the side Of my darling, my darling, my life and my bride, In her sepulcher by the sea- In her tomb by the sea.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8,9
Previously, we took a look at faith. We saw that faith is described as a non-meritorious system of thinking. Another Bible word that we should take a look at is grace. Faith is the manward perception of who and what God is. Grace is often times, like the passage above, used in connection with faith. So I would like to open a discussion on: What is grace?
Coming up in what I still consider to be a Bible based enviroment, I learned that grace can be defined as "unmeritted favor", and this is a true statement about the grace of God. I would like to offer a definition that you may find more complete:
Grace is everything that a just and righteous God can do for sinful man based on the propititory work and substitutionary death of Jesus on the cross.
We do not earn it nor deserve grace and it is the only thing that can be added to our non-meritorious faith that is effective for the new birth and the spiritual growth that follows. Grace is God doing all of the work, and man receiving His work by faith. We grow in this faith only through what God has given by means of Grace.
Thanks for reading and feel free to share your thoughts and comments...

Hello Friends, Knowing that many folks may view those of us who are into snakes as somewhat odd, I thought it might help to note a few things. Christian thought has rightly identified the serpent with the devil, but I wonder how many know that in nature snakes have some very redeeming qualities? Because Satan chose the form of a serpent, God had to humble brother snake and now he is on his belly before the Lord God ridding us of disease infested vermin. They are not very intelligent as creatures go, but they are very wise! So wise in fact that Jesus commands his followers to be "wise as serpents". They are wise enough to be content with their place in nature and this is why today, even though our advesary used him to deceive the woman, he is following God's design.

But Jesus called them unto him, and said, "Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein." Luke 18:16,17
My plans were to do this blog on repentance, but the deeper I got into the subject, the more I saw that it takes faith to receive the inward requirements of real repentance. So in this blog, I would like to open a discussion on: What is faith?
I chose the above scripture because, like everything else that is of God, there must be a place for us to start. It amazes me to see the tremendous faith in children. In spite of their childish and immature ways; they possess something that is missing in a lot of us grownups, and this is the capacity for faith.
Jesus said, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, unless a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3
In this passage we see Nicodemus, a Pharisee, being instructed that man cannot even see God's kingdom without the new birth. These passages teach us that it takes a childlike faith to receive the things of God. We should also take note that it is the object of our faith that has all of the merit. The object of our faith in salvation is the Lord Jesus Christ (John 3:16). The object of our faith as we grow in this salvation is the word of God (Hebrews 4:12; 2Timothy 3:16,17; 2Timothy 2:15).
When it comes to being a follower of Jesus, the subject of our faith (that is sinful man) has absolutely no merit at all. It is alway the object of our faith that has all the merit. So, how then should the child of God define faith? A lot of believers like to quote Hebrews 11:1, and this is a good start. Here is another way of defining it:
Faith is a nonmeritorious form of perception.
When Habakkak prophesied that "The just shall live by faith." (2:4) he was saying that the just (those of us who are in Christ) recognise Who and what the object of our faith is (God, and His Word). The Prophet also describes it as a way of life, actually the only way of life that God will honor.
Even when we grow and become "doers of the word" (James 1:22), it is still the object of our faith that has all of the merit. Being doers of the word is allowing God to do through us and Him receiving all of the glory.
"Even so faith, if it hath not works is dead, being alone.", (James 2:17). Faith must have an object, and if its not the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word- it stands alone and is dead. If God is not working in and through a person, there is no faith in Jesus to begin with. Such a person is still spiritually dead, and has either never had Jesus as the object of his faith- or is not walking in His Word.
Hopefully, my next blog will be about repentance. Feel free to speek your mind, I encourage freedom of speech. Good manners are also encouraged, foul language and personal attacks are not welcome here.

It was not death, for I stood up, And all the dead lie down. It was not night, for all the bells Put out their tongues for noon.
It was not frost, for on my flesh I felt siroccos crawl; Nor fire, for just my marble feet Could keep a chancel cool-
And yet it tasted like all. The figures I have seen Set orderly for burial Reminded me of mine
As if my life were shaven And fitted to a frame And could not breathe without a key; And twas like midnight some
When everything that ticked has stopped And space stares all around, Or grisly frosts, first autum morns, Repeal the beating ground,
But most like chaos- stopless, cool, Without a chance or spar, Or even a report of land To justify despair.

This is the only passage in the Bible I could find that, at least in the wording, could adress offenses to children in a direct way. Please read what Jesus is saying and let me know what you think?
Matthew 18:1-10 1) At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? 2) And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them , 3) And said, Verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. 4) Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5) And whoso shall receive one such child in my name receiveth me. 6) But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. 7) Woe unto the world because of offenses! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe unto that man by which the offence cometh! 8) Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. 9) And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire. 10) Take heed that ye not despise one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. In context, Jesus was answering the question "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?" My question though, is there any application here for us here in the Church Age? I take the words "converted" in verse 3 to mean Jesus was wanting the Jews, who were saved under the Old Covenant, to be "converted" and enter His kingdom. Jesus placed a little boy in the middle of them to convey a very power statement, it takes a child like faith in Jesus to be in Christ.
I think there could be more than one application to this text. "Little child" could mean new believers in Jesus, but I also think Jesus could be speaking against child abuse and sexual perversion with a child. I'm seeking honest opinions, let me know what you think! Are we still in context if we say that Jesus is speaking against the pedophile in this passage?

From: Lion of Judah Date: 2/11/2011 11:45:17 AM Subject: Obama’s Muslim Brotherhood Links Deserve Second Look
February 10th, 2011 (6) Posted By Grizz.
“The Speech†delivered by Barack Obama may have been intended to strengthen ties with the Muslim community, but it also served to add another chapter to Obama’s troubling history with the world’s oldest international terrorist organization – the Muslim Brotherhood.
The Islamic revivalist movement Muslim Brotherhood (MB), founded in 1928 by the Egyptian schoolteacher Hassan Al-Banna, seeks to establish a global Islamic Caliphate ruled by Shari’ah law. MB has spawned such terrorist groups as Hamas – which is actually the Palestinian chapter of MB – Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and Al Qaeda. Despite being officially outlawed in Egypt, MB politicians – who run as independents – account for 88 seats, or just over 20% of Egypt’s parliament. In addition, MB has either founded or is linked to most major U.S. Muslim organizations such as the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Muslim Students Association (MSA), the Muslim American Society, and the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). The MB denounced violence back in the 1970′s and now claim that they stand for democratic reform, but they support suicide bombings and are tied to international terrorist attacks.
At least ten MB members – including Mohammed Saad el-Katatni, the head of MB’s parliamentary bloc – were invited to attend the speech at Cairo University. The Obama administration claims that invitations were sent out exclusively by Egypt’s Cairo and Al-Azhar Universities. However according to the Middle East Media Research Institute, the Egyptian daily Al-Masyroon reported that the invitations were “extended at the request of U.S. Ambassador to Egypt Margaret Scobey.â€
Reporters questioned Deputy National Security Adviser Denis McDonough whether or not MB members were invited by the administration, but McDonough would not give an answer.
“I can tell you that invitations have gone out to the full range of actors in Egyptian political society,†responded McDonough. Apparently to the Obama administration the “full range of actors†includes those who see suicide bombing as “the greatest of all sorts of Jihad in the Cause of Allah.â€
It is disturbing that McDonough would not deny inviting members from the organization whose founder said, “It is the nature of Islam to dominate, not to be dominated, to impose its law on all nations and to extend its power to the entire planet.†One can only imagine that a Christian or Jewish supremacist group set on world domination would not be invited to attend, so why should a Muslim group get a free pass?
McDonough’s reaction is even more disturbing when you consider the 1991 MB memo on organizing members in North America that said all members “must understand their work in America is a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within, and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.â€
The MB, CAIR, and ISNA all praised Obama’s speech and welcomed the new approach. Part of this “new approach†is Obama’s promise to ease the ability of Muslims to give zakat, or the Islamic duty of charitable donations. The ISNA said in a statement that they “applaud the President’s recognition of the problems Muslim American charities have been having and the hardship that resulted from the ‘rules on charitable giving’ by federal agencies. We welcome his commitment to ensure that Muslim Americans can fulfill their zakat duty, a religious obligation to provide the needy with financial support.â€
Contrary to Obama’s (and ISNA’s) claim, however, there are no rules making it “harder for Muslims to fulfill their religious obligation.†What rules are in place are laws prohibiting material support to terrorist groups. As we recently witnessed in the Holy Land Foundation (HLF) trial, zakat is used to finance terrorism. HLF – considered the largest Muslim charity group in the U.S. – sent at least $12.4 million to the MB-linked Hamas. In fact, Shari’ah Law mandates that a portion of zakat goes towards financing jihad.
Yousef al-Qaradawi, the spiritual leader of MB, wrote in 1999 that “Declaring holy war to save …
Muslim lands is an Islamic duty, and fighting for such purposes in those occupied territories is the Way of Allah for which zakat must be spent.†As of this April, 27 Islamic charity groups – including the three largest in the U.S. – had either been indicted or designated as sponsors of terrorism by the Treasury Department. Obama’s promise may have pleased MB, but opening the door for American dollars to finance jihad is abhorrent.
The president even stated that he would be working with the MB-linked Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) on fighting polio. While fighting polio is a worthy cause, working alongside an organization that could seek to imprison or execute those who speak against Islam is not. The OIC is is the same organization that has been seeking a United Nations ban on “defamation of religions†which is a treaty that will silence any speech deemed defamatory by Islam – the only religion specifically mentioned in the treaty. For example: if a Christian in Pakistan is asked whether Muhammad is a prophet – and responds “no†– the Christian is guilty of blasphemy. According to Pakistan’s Shari’ah court, the punishment for blasphemy is death. The plan is derived from the Cairo Declaration of Human Rights in Islam, which states “that all rights are subject to Shari’ah law, and makes Shari’ah law the only source of reference for human rights.†Despite the fact that Obama calls himself a “committed Christian,†it is inconceivable that he would work alongside a 57-nation Christian alliance that silenced free speech and sought the death penalty for members of other religions for denying the divinity of Jesus Christ.
During Obama’s 2008 campaign, his Muslim outreach coordinator had to step down after less than two weeks on the job. Mazen Asbahi previously sat on a board of Allied Assets Advisors Fund (AAAF) along with Jamal Said, the imam of a Chicago mosque that supports Hamas. AAAF is a subsidiary of North American Islamic Trust (NAIT), which was founded by MB. Both Said and NAIT are unindicted co-conspirators in the HLF trial. In addition, Asbahi was formerly a leader in the MSA while attending the University of Michigan, and had joined four other MB-linked organizations. Asbahi stepped down after he was exposed by the Global Muslim Brotherhood Daily Report.
The Obama campaign had to cut ties with Robert Malley, a member of Obama’s Middle East advisory council, when the Times of London disclosed that Malley was in regular contact with members of Hamas. Malley was involved with the terrorist group through his role at the George Soros-funded “conflict resolution think tank,†the International Crisis Group. Malley’s father Simon was a personal friend of the late Yasser Arafat – a MB member – and Robert wrote several op-ed pieces with former Arafat adviser Hussein Agha.
“He has no formal role in the campaign and he will not play any role in the future,†said an Obama spokesman when Malley was cut in May, but Malley was apparently back in Obama’s good graces when he was dispatched by the president-elect to meet with Syrian leaders following the election in November.
In a 2004 fatwa, Qardawi stated that Muslims killed in action against American troops in Iraq are martyrs “given their good intentions since they consider these invading troops an enemy within their territories but without their will.†As Commander-in-Chief of the forces whose death the MB is advocating, it defies reason that this administration should be working alongside them on so many levels.
Scott Wheeler, the Director of the National Republican Trust summed it up: “The American people did not vote for President Barack Hussein Obama to make peace with Muslim terrorists.â€
“The Speech†delivered by Barack Obama may have been intended to strengthen ties with the Muslim community, but it also served to add another chapter to Obama’s troubling history with the world’s oldest international terrorist organization – the Muslim Brotherhood.

Hello freinds, Am asking for prayer concerning my Dad. His name is Robert Mitchel Howard, and at 82 years old, he has short term memory loss and is very frail. He's a decorated Korean war vet, all round great father, who has problems breathing and remembering things. In January they discovered a tumor in one of his kidneys, its in the very early stages, but he is going through rehab attempting to gain enough strength for the operation. Some of you that came from myspace with me have been praying for him, thanks, and consider this to be an update. And thanks to all my friends here on boomer who take the time to pray for my Dad. ~Blessings
