The Constitution Party is a bit too anti-immigration for a lot of Libertarians, but I'm thinking about supporting the Constitution Party candidate this year. Was planning on voting Libertarian in the general elections, but Gary Johnson (Libertarian Party Candidate) has openly come out in support of same sex marriage.
Am usually not a single issue voter, but I draw the line with same sex marriage. I know that the Constitution Party is staunchly pro-life, so it is not likely that they will support same sex marriage.
This vid is rather lengthy, but give Mr. Goode a listen and let me know what you think. He's not exactly Libertarian, but is very freedom orientented from what I'm hearing about him.
In the previous blog, we took at look at what can happen to us if money becomes our god. In this video the speaker presents, what I think, is morally right about economic freedom. Its rather lengthy, but if you get a chance, give a listen . Good economics is a morally a good thing for everybody .
"No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." Matthew 6:24
"But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be wherewith content. But they that must be rich fall into a temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men into destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and peirced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness." 1Timothy 6:6-11
Hello friends,
Ever wonder why there is so much economic turmoil in the world today? After posting some info on Austrian Economics, which is what the good Dr. Ron Paul preaches, I think its time to take a look at the spiritual consequenses of turning money, which used to be a legitimate medium of exchange when it was backed by silver and gold, into an idol.
The tune that I posted along with this blog really touched me as a teen. The Mighty O'jays, bless their souls, were preaching the truth to us back then. I don't know how much they profitted off of this song, but much of it actually lines up whith God's Word. The sad thing is; the dollar bill is not-so-mighty-anymore, and we the peeps are still on our knees worshipping it. How tragic
Jesus states very clearly that we cannot serve both God and money, and Paul admoshishes God's people to flee from these things. Money still can be a legitimate medium of exchange if we: 1) don't allow it to become god 2) wake up and return to the sound economic policies of Adam Smith and the Austrian school which Ron Paul is promoting as a member of Congress and a Presidential candidate.
As we hear the stories surrounding the death of the young Mr. Martin, we would do well to see that this criminal activity will give the gun grabbers ammo to further erode our second ammendment liberties.
Don't buy into it people! Just because a man is an alleged criminal does not give big brother authorization to infinge on our gun rights. And make no mistake, the right two own weapons is very much linked to freedom of worship.
I went ahead and took down the vid "middle of the road economics leads to socialism" because its gone now (thanks for hollering at me Dena). Will take a different approach to the Austrian school now.
How many of you Ron Paul supporters have even heard of the Austrian School of Economics? It is worth mentioning because this is the economic theory that Ron Paul has been preaching to our finanacially and morally bankrupt nation.
Will encourage my freedom loving friends to google Austrian Economics for yourselves if you are not already familiar with this school. A good place to start is with a fella by the name of Ludwig von Mises. Human Action, I think, is by far the best written book on Economics.
when serpents bargain for the right to sqirm and the sun strikes to gain a living wage- when thorns regard their roses with alarm and rainbows are insured against old age
when every thrush may sing no new moon in if all screech-owls have not okayed his voice -and any waves signs on the dotted line or else an ocean is compelled to close
when the oak begs permission of the birch to make an acorn - valleys accuse their mountains of having altitude - and march denounces april as a saboteur
then we will believe in that incredible unanimal mankind(and not until)
