Now Autumn's fire burns slowly
Along the woods
And day by day
The dead leaves fall and melt
Fall has always been my favorite season
The time when everything bursts
With its last beauty
As if nature had been saving up all year
For the grand finale
Is not this a true autumn day?
Just the still melancholy that I love
That makes life and nature harmonise
The trees are putting on the hectic or the pallid hues of decay
And begin to strew the ground
That one's very footsteps may not disturb
Delicious autumn!
My very soul is wedded to it
And if I were a bird I would fly about the earth
Seeking the successive autumns
You will forgive me if I don't post autumn colors just yet. My favorite seasons are spring and fall. Still, I'm still hanging onto summer for the longer days, the summer breezes and women in sun dresses. Especially since the temperatures haven't changed yet. I'll change as some of you have already soon. Jazz
